  1. To the international community,

Please be aware that the Sri Lankan delegation to the UNHRC represent only Rajapakse gangsters who deny any breathing space to the people in this country and not the general public in this country. We are denied all fundamental democratic rights and freedom that people of the other democracies enjoy. With the removal of the CJ by force Rajapakse introduce new laws to keep those who raise their voice against his rule in custody upto 48 hours, which the lady CJ de jure, refused, when challenged before the Supreme Court. We are denied right to dissent, freedom of speech, both print and electronic media now under absolute control of Rajapakse regime.

All this time people of this country had a little faith in the Judiciary as the other two organs (legislature and Executive) is under the absolute control of Rajapakse family. However, with appointment of the cheat Mohan Peiris as head to the Executive control judiciary even that little breathing space have been denied to us.

Please, please, help us, we are helpless in the absence of opposition (right now we only have a ‘ponna’ opposition that do meet all what Rajapakse regime wanted. We are effectively stranded with no hope in sight. People belongs to all communities in this country are forced to keep their mouth shut and suffer in silence.

    • What are the fundamental democratic rights you have been denied of in Sri Lanka. This govt os only 3 years old and surely you get a chance to elect one you like in 3 years time. Just let them do what they promised and decide there-after. Removal of the former CJ, Lady SB is 100% constituent. If the freedom of express is denied how you and BHRC generalize and bublish this type of nonsence and false allegations as people’s opinions and ideas.

Judiciery functions better now and no Judge has been effected by the impeachement. If Mr. Mohan was a cheat why did you wait to say that till he became the CJ. All the Rajapaksa family members in power are fully people elected members. Opposition is very strong with the backing from western NGOs BHRC, ICJ, LTTE, UNHRC etc. (who can be controlled by westrn and LTTE money who desperately want a regime change in Sri Lanka) but with minority of Sri Lankans.

      • IF the 18th Amendment, Prevention of Terrorism Act, Impeachment of the Chief Justice can be pushed through the Parliament in such a short time, why cannot the UPFA Government and the President push through a just solution for equal rights to all minorities and above all freedom to practice ones religion through the Parliament? If you say that Judiciary is functioning well under the new Cheap Justice, well you are wrong. He is sitting to judge on cases where he is a defendant. Further all those who have killed another person today is allowed to become a witness of the State, what justice is this. One day you will realize when the “Kottoruwa” pecks at you or your family.

  2. Since these are petitions to Her Royal Highness from her subjects, well respected members of the British Judiciary, it is likely that Her Majesty will not attend the CHOGM in Sri Lanka.

It would not be befitting of her Majesty to associate and give credence to such scoundrels who are guilty of human rights violations and usurping the system of justice in Sri Lanka.

Special note will be taken regarding the delay in rendering justice to the family of the British subject Khurram who was murdered in Tangalle over one year ago. Consequently CHOGM will probably be moved to another location.

CJ Bandaranayake has obviously committed several mistakes. The problem was that MahindaR did not give her the right to try to prove her innocence. He hid under a bogus, bahubootha constitution of JRJ.

Robert is as bad as CJ Bandara, her husband and MahindaR.

Has not the PSC exceeded their mandate to appeace MR? In this country for the dumb, everything is wrong with the UNP, JRJ, his Constitution and Ranil Wickremasinghe. There is nothing wrong with the SLFP led coalitions of CBK and especially of MR who has robbed and misused the powers of the Executive for personal gain. What concoluted Logic of these myopic?

  7. C.Wijewickrama a stooge of Rajapaksa regime has completed a LLB from Sri Lanka, but his knowledge about Law or Rule of Law is very minimal like synthetic lawyer Mahinda Rajapaksa. If any one read the full report of QC Robertson well respected Judge will understand that he is not bias or taking sides. It was proved beyond any doubt that Rajapakasa failed to forced Mrs S. Bandaranayake to help him to pass two damaging Bills he wanted to introduce for his brother Basil Rajapakasa, the uneducated security guard who used to eat the Dane while looking for a Jobs in USA. If Rajapaksa is a Lawyer as he pronounce then he should read this report and the well defined answers and allow Judicial independence intack in Sri Lanka without further delay. C. Wijewickrama should keep his opinion to himself without trying to joing the educated lot in writing comments.

You should reason it out and explain why such conclusions are made. Other wise, I am compelled to categarize you with those seven (7) PSC members who sat in an inquiry against the CJ. 11. To: Sir Goeffrey Robertson, UN.CW, EU and the International Community,

President Rajapakse and his Brothers are using their Dictatorial Power to manupulate elections, chief justice, intimidate and suppress all those who oppose them, Murder, harass and jail everybody including Journalists, reporters, media, human rights organisations, opposition parties, Internationalo community etc…etc…everybody who oppose Rajapakse Dictator.

Please listen to today’s ITN discussing with a govt.goon Prof. Nalin D. Silva who say that Sri Lanka should stop all imports and should send children to fields to grow, and change total education system while restricting all imports.

Also he is bashing the UNHCR,UN and EU as a Colonial Racist organisation.

    Please listen to following video.
    http://www.v2.itn.lk/

We Citizens and patriots of Sri Lanka are much concern now more than ever that President Rajapakse is taking Sri Lanka towards a Dictatorial rule and suppress similar to communist era, making people to die in hunger, starvation, suppression of freedom and free movement and spy every eitizen.

MR is using all Govt.and private Media,TV, Press, publications, Govt. goon professors, economists, accountants etc,to give a false picture of economic data, cost of living and to brain wash citizen.

Since we have a weak, power hungry, 16 times loosing consecutive elections but still hang on to power by the opposition leader who is a coward manupiulated by Rajapakses whom we have no faith, we feel that is is only you who could deliver justice, freedom, democracy and true Independence to us Citizens of Sri Lanka.

Also Ask from former CJ Sarath N.Silva….

Why don’t you ask Chairman Sri lankan Air and Mihin Air how they lost over 35 Billion rupees of Tax payer money. Who is responsible of this huge loss. CPC over 200 Billion rupees losses while Minister making millions of salary, Electricity board over 150 Billion losses and counting, CTB, Railway…..and all govt. corporations, all runni8ng at billions of rupees losses.

If you know that investing money in a finance company is similar to investing in a business….or stock market. It is a gamble and one could make profit or loose. Risk is part of business. if not they should not deposit money in these ventures.

  13. My readers of CT,

It is all about cricket and this is a lesson on timing. People of SL are not concerned about CJs and sons of Ministers. Contracts for killing are priced low and there are takers. This shows that our people are poor and hungry for money. Now that Bangladesh cricketers are here nobody will be interested in who the next PM is going to be or whether CHOGM would be held in SL.

In spite of all these the Media Minister enjoys all Doosras and Yokers from the press with leg glances and the press stops there. I am enjoying the morning walks along the paths created under instructions of Defence Secy GR and shopping at public markets built wih funds allocated by Economic Dev Minister BR. I thank the media for highlighting these achievements.

  15. Every Sri Lankan who desired fairness and justice in this affair, and were woefully dissapointed, will endorse the findings of Geoffrey Robertson QC. The committee headed by Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and the government ministers did a hatchet job for Rajapaksa and history will judge them as traitors and men of weak character. The 117 parliamentarians did sign a blank document. Sadly that is the quality of people we have in parliament. MPs who were prepared to destroy a Chief Justice merely to show their loyalty to Rajapaksa.

Even though the interference in Sri Lanka’s affairs by various international bodies must be condemned and resisted, we must also recognize that the Sri Lankan people are torn between the desire to be patriotic to one’s country and the need to change the present despotic rule, one of growing impunity, lawlessness, nepotism, and corruption. The overwhelming feeling is that the developing dictatorship must be halted and an example made of these rogues. Therefore the Robertson report has come at an appropriate time and it is hoped that the U.K. government will adopt it’s recommendations expeditiously. It would indeed be timely to freeze finances of these parliamentarians held in the U.K. and also deny travel visas to them. As a first step please publish the amounts held in the U.K. and elsewhere which will help the scrutiny of their assets declarations.

Sadly naming and shaming appears to be appropriate at this time.
