    • This is the need of the hour, if SC judges would be able to plan it.

Rule of law bounded judges should work closely with STILL LEGALLY APPOINTED current CJ – Dr Bandaranayake.

  3. In those nations the judiciary, that exercise peoples’ judicial power is at work, whereas in ours, they want people to give them a shock treatment to get them out of hibernation and to discharge their duty without any fear or favor. This is the kind of cancerous phenomenon that firmly eaten into the entire social fabric. This is why despite the CJ their head was unlawfully removed by the Executive President the other judges simply answered the summons served on them by the Executive President like timid mouse.

  5. Pakistan – a country that chose not to be secular in a plural society – has declined to the point she is now a virtual joke. The Govt and the more important and powerful army, swore on all gods in the world, they don’t know where on earth Osama Bin Laden is. All the while, surreptitiously harbouring him – not gratis obviously – for years under the very nose of the Army, Police and the security apparatus. The Americans rubbed their nose in the mud by daringly ‘coptering in and killing him. No Pakistani – particularly in Karachi, Islamabad, ‘Pindi, Lahore – can claim to be safe now 24×7. Yet the army, the ISI go as their raison d’etre is to subvert and battle India. Little is done to industrialise the country to even basic levels to produce even a 3-wheeler. In the latest skirmish they are alleged to have taken the head of an Indian soldier as souvenir.

Pakistan is one example if a democratic society gives the armed forces even shades of political power they are bound to be in trouble.
