Here is the connection the US established with MR in ’88 when the JVP who were nurtured by the CIA of the US to destabilise Sri Lanka, were decimated by the UNP govt. of the day. The US continued to have MR as an ally and have been immune to Human Rights violations today under the very crusader who fought for Human Rights Violations then. This is the connection with the US that enables MR to survive all alegations and continue to violate Human Rights with absolute impunity.
