  1. This is a very balanced and sensible opinion – something the local HR groups ought to hear!

  2. Oh no, there he goes again, with nothing new to say the pompous wind bag who likes to hear his own voice!

    • Agreed Bond! The guy has nothing to say but platitudes wrapped in zombi cyber-talk accompanies by name dropping – Harvard, Ox-brid etc, where he’s never been!
      He fancies himself endlessly..

  3. I fully agree just that I couldn’t express it as well as this. Thanks for voicing what some of us strongly believe.

  4. Very valid and relevant and I would suggest that your interview with Rev. Bishop Chickera should be compulsory viewing.

  6. The right of Tamils to call for secession, if they so desire, is denied and criminalised by the Sinhala constitution of Sri Lanka. The Tiger insignia is a strong expression of protest against this suppression. Of course one cannot conflate the Tamil people with the LTTE. That is why the Tamil Tiger insignia is slightly different from the LTTE tiger insignia – both being derived from the Chola flag. Who says Eelam is doomed? As long as “partisan mainstream media amplifies propaganda, in a country where media literacy is abysmal, to mislead citizens by way of stories that speak of Western conspiracies” and helps keep power in the hands of the Sinhalese without sharing with Tamils, the cry for secession and Eelam will be reverberating everywhere.

As far as the war crimes committed by the Tigers (called by GoSL, some members of IC and also broad-minded Tamils who want to be equitable): child soldiers, shooting their own people etc have been bandied about but I believe GoSL holds all the cards in the form of the affected civilian population, captured tiger perpetrators with all their documentation videos etc. So why ask diaspora?

I agree that the right to speak should not be denied even to ones worst enemies (who denies that same right to others) but the question is when the media is going to educate its readership.

therefore the other attacks by his henchmen to keep MRs ego at the

  8. British Goverment held to ransom or at the mercy of the Tamil Diaspora in the U.K. ??

Where is that freedon to speech in the U.K ? Hijacked by the Tamil diaspora whose VOTE takes preseedence over freedom of speech.

Hey Diaspora please be free to continue to oppose but do not step on our soil as you do not know the value of Freedom of Speech we will have a memory loss on your Rights.

  9. ‘Our President deserves the right to speak especially since his government denies for so many, this same right’.
Lets hope he has learnt the lesson the hard way
