Cases Challenging Sacking Ranil Wickremesinghe And Members Of His Govt Fixed For Support On January 07

Cases against sacking of Ranil Wickremesinghe as Prime Minister and other members of his government have been fixed for support by the Supreme Court on January 07.

The petitioners challenge the legality of President Maithripala Sirisena’s move to sack Wickremesinghe and other members of his government from their positions.

Dambara Amila Thera and Oshala Herath, a former Coordinating Secretary to President Maithripala Sirisena, have filed two petitions in this regard. Both petitions will be heard in the Supreme Court on the same day.

The cases were taken up before a three-member bench comprising justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Sisira de Abrew and Murdu Fernando this morning.

The three bench also decided the parties to be given notice this week.

Not just this, but few more pettions will be be filed against stupid president and his unpredictable acts.

His statements being added to press all the weekends show no consistencies.
So the quesiton President Sirisena to act as the president of 22 mio of lankens is what goes through the head of many today.

All is torn in this coutnry since 26 th Oct, but President is in the view, ” theruwan saranayi, but everything moves forward even better… ho hoo.. “?
Why then let him to govern further 24 hours ?

What Sri Lanka needs is not not democracy, it more basic than that:

Rule of Law, Rule of Law, Rule of Law.

Rule of Law has been only selectively applied over 70 years:

Ask Tamils, Muslims and the JVPers.

It is a pity that most talk about democracy, which also includes the rule of law.

Every citizen has the right to file a petition. Who pays the cost of hiring lawyers. The present crisis has generated good business for lawyers

People don’t appreciate this UNP stance as what’s required is democratic way of thinking rather than inviting judicial interference on this matter.

UNP was given that partial mandate (below 113) to go with the president towards gg so that partial mandate is valid as far as they go with the president only.

It’s very clear now that 105 UNP members don’t respect the very people who voted for them for gg so the mandate is void.

Unfortunately opportunity minded parties have come to save RW & the UNP now instead for pressing them to go for fresh mandate.

Even in case of SC verdict goes in favor of them the instability built in the country can’t be repaired.

So people want the UNP to go for a fresh mandate without continuing this foul play.

Hi Man, don’t be a fool. Are you what MS and MR Did is correct?? What MS & MR have only 95 and what rights they have to grab power illegally?

Have a logical look @ what MS has done

        1. He attempted to co-exist in the govt. with RW where he was undoubtedly the boss.

2.He tried his best to tolerate different attitudes. (probably MS is leftist & RW is rightist & unfortunately citizen’s front didn’t care for it)

        3. RW started behaving as if he’s the head of the state so he became cautious.

        4. He sought Sajith’s & KJ’s support to get the problem solved but failed because both of them pay undue respect for him(RW)

(in the meantime 19th amendment was passed & bond scam occurred))

        5. He withdrew his support base for the gg to make the mandate given to the UNP & Ranil void but the UNP didn’t accept it, even to this date.

        6. He sacked RW, the PM with the view that there’s provision in the constitution even after bringing 19th amendment

        7. Dissolved the parliament.

Politically I may not be MS supporter but in the context he’s done the correct.

Ethically Ranil don’t have a right to cling in to power when the mandate had become null & void due to MS’s withdrawal so how can it amount to gabbing power illegally?

          Real Revolutionist,

” 5. He withdrew his support base for the gg to make the mandate given to the UNP & Ranil void but the UNP didn’t accept it, even to this date. “ Who gave which mandate? in which election it was given? Why should it go null and void if New King withdraws anything? In Jan 2015, UNP, TNA, JVP & other minorities stood in one side and UPFA was in other side. In Aug 2015, UNF, UPFA, TNA, JVP stood independently. Through which part New King is enforcing the withdrawal his mandate?

You need to understand: that Presidential House is under EP. Under 19A, PM has the more things in cabinet and in parliament, it is the speaker leads. Why the EP is dipping his nose in others’ matters, after all signed the 19A.

      Real Revolutionist ,

” People don’t appreciate this UNP stance as what’s required is democratic way of thinking rather than inviting judicial interference on this matter. “

We are not in this case. Once the Court verdict restore democracy, we will return to our pre Jan 2015, position; ie. No interference in Sinhala Buddhist’s Politics, but only observer’s comments. TNA stand is returning to Pre Oct 26, 2018. We support/ed TNA and encouraged TNA working for restoration of Democracy. We don’t contribute of Yahapalanaya coming back and TNA floating again on the dream of Secret Solution. That is only TNA’s politics. Our stand is IC taking the war criminals to ICC; let the world to come to know what happened in Lankawe; restore suffocated Tamils’ self-determination right; a political solution Tamils want-i.e. is Singapore-Malaysia.

Having said that, it was Tamil got the Justice for Don Stephen from Britain in 1915. So Stephen refused to Tamils have thier justice. He and Solomon West Ridgeway Dias wanted to get rid of Privy Council. In Kodeeswaran’s case, the first time SC felt the need of “Sinhala Jury Only Verdict”. JR abolished the Supreme Court’s equality in Balance of Power. Chandrika Corrupted the remaining functions by refusing to appoint a due Tamil but appointing Buffoon De Silva, the lawyer Comedian. After that Court remained lower than Chuck E. Cheese’s, the kids play place and Pizza restaurant. Then Old King made Justices to wash the TTH Toilets and played with them Hero Heroine dramas. Ranil fired two CJ’s within 24 hours. Your opinion is the Court represents the anti-democratic influence. The fundamental question is, do the Wildlife Sanctuary needs a Court System? Don’t the inhabitants want to freely roam around in the wildness and treat their life itself as the justice system? Their Matriarch and Patriarch naturally stem out, rule, dominate……… die…. that is the democracy they know of!

Fake Revoultionism do understand about mathematics/arithmatic. Don’t use the term “people” because people who said “No” to Mahinda. People never asked Sirisena to appoint Mahinda as PM. Listen to what real “people” says.

Whether arithmetic is right or wrong what MS had done was correct. The only problem was the way it was done!!! If the samanala gang stayed there for another 6 months, you would expect a more disastrous country than what is today. With the pro LTTE mindset & the wholesale selling of country to western powers, you would expect few bomb blasts in Colombo again. And just look at TNA & other LTTE supporters, how desperate they are to bring RW & the gang back to power. Sri Lankans should never allow this to happen. I am pretty sure it will not happen. RW & the gang have no grass root level support to bring themselves back. Otherwise it would have happened already!!!

There must be ethics in politics.

Just after becoming the president, MS appointed RW the PM; UNP had only 48 seats in the house.
Where was your mathematics @ that time?

Presently UNP has 105 (to my knowledge) & SLFP has 95. Approximately equal.

In case president appointed one from SLFP, 1st thing is to support him.

When problems start to arise steps can be taken to remove him.

Very important thing is UNP got the mandate to go together with the president only.

        President’s men have left now.

So the representation in the house is not the actual people’s support.

So understand that UNP behavior is undemocratic.

” There must be ethics in politics. Just after becoming the president, MS appointed RW the PM; UNP had only 48 seats in the house. Where was your mathematics @ that time? ”

Dear friend Real Revolutionist, What you mean by “Ethics” ; and after all it is in Lankawe’s Sinhala Buddhist’s Politics?

You cannot understand the Arithmetic, Logic, Law, Act, Constitution….I understand that part more than clear. So it is very well accepted that you have to go on another direction to put forward your point. But, what I could not make out is, just because of that you are going on “Sinhala Buddhist Political Ethics?” Come on man! Show some mercy!

Listen, in Jan 2015, the SLFP presidential candidate lost the election, 110%. There is no fooling around on SLFP loosing EP election in 2015. Only one UNP supported candidate won it. To offer full support to New King, UNP withdraw its own candidate Ranil. So in all Arithmetic, logic, law, Ethics, whatever it is you call, only UNP won the presidential election. UNP won the EP election and gave it to SLFP Party Chairman, New King, even though SLFP officially placed candidate Old King lost the election. So the Party Chairman agreed to make Ranil as the SLFP prime minister though UNP had lost the earlier Parliament election. You need a PhD in Arithmetic or in 19A to understand that? One minus one is Zero. UNP gave the EP to New King. SLFP gave the PM to Ranil. Debit and credit are balanced and Trail Balance, P &L and Balance Sheet everything has gone zero in that. Now why did you steal his (Ranil) PM position? What is your ethics is telling as you gave him October, 26th?
Just don’t write comedy things man if you don’t understand how 19A works. That is fine. Leave it there.
          Thank you!

Ms. Jayawardena filed the writ petition seeking the CA to issue a mandate in the nature of a writ of Mandamus against Fort Police Head Quarters OIC and the IGP directing them to institute judicial proceedings in District Courts by virtue of section II of the Mental Diseases Ordinance for the purpose of inquiring state of mind of President Sirisena”.

Winal booruwansa says, Shitsena would ask the Apex Court to expidite the case. This too amounts to pressuring, interference and contempt of courts. They don’t have any right to pressure or interfere in the judiciary, and they should let it take it course. Judges are not machines, they have to weigh every deligently, and give their determination on a case of this magnitude, it’s not a joke for it affect lives of the people and the country.

Reasonable comment but the court hearing has come to the end now so there’s nothing wrong in making that request.

Thank you Dambara Amila Thera and Oshala Herath. This will also encourage other civic minded to come forward.
    .
As an aside, Economists use super-computers and fancy mathematics to study the ‘State of the Economy’.
They use ‘Business Confidence’ as a measure. This is obtained by asking the corner shop owner “What do you think?” and collating the answer.
If today we ask a Lankan “What do you think of the Judiciary?”. Lankans are discovering the purpose of the Judiciary.
Sign that the unhealthy Law&Order is on the improve!

Ha! Ha! Haa!! To me this is the joke of the day!!! You must be talking about Mr. Dambara Amila, the marketing & business development executive at Litro gas!!! What sort of justice & civic rights you would expect from a person who in a daylight robbery had been stealing public money for 3 years to go on a honeymoon with LTTE diaspora & try desperately to bring in a constitution to divide the country??

What Ranil says, it is Ravi KArunanayake and Arjun Mahendran who proposed the Bond scam. I was just listening and I said that is OK and do it that way. So, I am not guilty. Other than that, it is common to accept Cash rewards and Always I said, just leave it here and I don’t hav time now. SO, Maithripala shpuld arrest RAVI and continue the case. That may be one hindrence to this. On the othe rhand, that may be RAnil the Con man escape route. Because, at the beginning when the bond scam was presented to the Cabinet approval, MS had said. if you get a lot give me also some which happenend he did not know there was some moey in every account. This may be at least in part a truth Ranil is a fox for foxes too. So, he knows how to do things

The decision taken by President to removed or dismissed the Prime-Minster of UNP led Ranil Wicks ,the very immferdite is reason that his involvement of attempted of assignations of President of our head of state by behind the political coup.
Among that key Suspect are in arrest of Police officer ex-DIG was key persons including current IGP and leads to suspicion. While case of assignation of President in high court house that ex-DIG refused to bail by court of law. Case in serious offence that engaged of RW of UNP leadership has covered operation to become President of Republic without go the polls incoming that President election?

Two suspects names been reveled that Additional to Police -persons that name of of Ranil Wicks and Sarath Fonseka naked involvement?

Right now that President claim has reasonable facts to be believed that of RW suspicions of allegation assignation having solid grounds.

Why is that we believed that the past of Presenditial election has proved, beyond doubt that RW ever-never elected as the President of Lanka by Majority voters of Island. The very reasons is that claim by President that UNP of RW no any other short-cut to become the President of Sri lanka.

The man in seat of President that physically eliminated from that only option is become President of an Island ?
Well, place that facts of reasons are justified that RW want to be in the Top seat by hook or crook that by backing of USA, UK, EU ,Indian and Japanese that vested interest of hegemonies and local lumpen classes.
The dismissed of Ex-Primer has many reasons of removed of that CB Bond scam of looted billions of Tax payers money of all Sri Lankan citizens by RW of UNP leadership. The Presidency action is right now also very reasonable has been remove post of PM taken, it count that represtantion of the interest of whole nation survival….Democracy and Sovereignty of People of Lanka.
