UPFA Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila was released on bail this morning by the Fort Magistrate. However, the Magistrate imposed a travel ban on him

He was remanded mid this month over a charge where he had allegedly used his power of attorney to sell shares in an Australian company.
Gammanpila was released on a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 and three sureties each of Rs.500,000.
Last year, Australian Businessman Brayan Shadik claimed that Gammanpila had illegally sold shares worth more than one million Australian dollars that the Australian businessman had invested in Sri Lanka.
