JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva vowed to fight for the rights of those from the LGBTIQ+ community, facing oppression.
In one of the most progressive political speeches made in the recent past, the JVP frontliner made a public pledge to fight for the rights of all those facing oppression.

“We stand for the rights of the working class…The working class is being oppressed by the bourgeoisie. Within the working class are those who face further oppression due to their gender or sexual orientation etc.,” he said.
Silva told the crowd that due to various cultural and sometimes legal reasons, those from the LGBTIQ+ community face various issues. He vowed to stand with them and work against the oppression they are facing.
“Depriving someone of their entitled rights based on their physical appearance or their sexual orientation is not acceptable…We don’t agree with any type of oppression,” he added.
Silva went on to note further that the JVP does not wish to be part of a political journey that aims to only win elections while dragging the country into defeat.
“Racial tensions are stirred to exploit votes but that victory is short lived. People’s security cannot be ensured by stirring racial tensions…Weaknesses in public security can be exploited by external forces to a point that it turns into a threat to national security,” he added.

It is scientifically researched and proved beyond any doubt that LGBTQ+ is natural by birth (born that way) among humans and animals. It is also a globally accepted fact as per modern medical science that LGBTQ+ is no longer a question of morality but something to do with the biological aspect of one’s life and is inborn. This truth has been acknowledged by the modern civilized world. In modern society irrespective of whether it is west or east, the LGBTQ+ are treated not only as normal but are even provided with special facilities. It is not a mental illness or any kind of addiction as believed in the primitive days. Only totally ignorant complete idiots will call it a sickness and oppose it. #
In terms of religion they say, on the 8th day God/Nature became more creative and made the LGBTQ+ community. It is just another natural evolution or creation of God. If there is any Religion that rejects LGBTQ+ as unnatural then that religion is obsolete (exceeded the date of expiry). Unfortunately, people believe in anything that the religion says but not what science says. Sadly, LGBTIQ+ community is oppressed in certain countries due to stupid and obsolete religious beliefs.
