The Kegalle Magistrate has refused to grant a restraining order against the anti-government Pada Yatra, despite the police citing that the protest march was creating various forms of public disturbances.
Kegalle police yesterday made a request for a restraining order against the anti-government protestors entering the Kegalle Town on grounds that the walk was creating severe traffic congestion among other issues, however, the Kegalle Magistrate refused to issue the restraining order.
The Magistrate however informed the police that the protest march should only be allowed on one lane of the road, and in the event there was any clash, the police had the authority to immediately halt the march.
On Wednesday, both the Kandy Magistrate and the Mawanella Magistrate issued restraining orders against the march, informing the organizers not to use Kandy town to commence the walk, or enter the Mawanella town.
Meanwhile, Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayaka said that the Pada Yatra was a political gimmick by a bunch of crooks. He also said that despite the protest march, the partnership between the SLFP and UNP will not be destroyed.
The Pada Yatra which commenced yesterday, is scheduled to reach Colombo on August 1.

Very apt for the parade of crooks to start at Uthuwankanda. Weera Saradiyel synonymous with Uthuwankanda was notorious for hijacking government assets, so are the rogues and thugs leading this disturbance to the peace. What a good match, except that the present day crooks banked the loot in private bank accounts abroad or camouflaged them as stock! Saradiyel of course ended up in the gallows;what about the present day crooks?

Mr. Amarasiri does NOT venerate Mr Ranil Wickramasinghe nor Mr. Matitripala Sirisena. However, Mr. Amarasiri, just like the 6.2 million Sri Lankans, appreciates the leadership, both these ‘leaders’ showed in deposing the Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, his Family and his cronies corrupt leadership and fleecing of the country, and the criminality shown by them. It is pathetic that the criminals are still at large.
None of the corruption and criminality of any Sri Lankan comes close to the criminality of Don Juan Dharmapala when he handed over the Kingdom of Kotte to the Portuguese Colonists and Imperialists following the “Infallible” , “Holy” Popes orders and dictates.

8) Victory over the false views of Brahma Baka,G.L.Peris, Penis
It is important to understand that most of these are allegorical stories that relate to the Buddha defeating the negative aspects of his (Mara and Alavaka) and others’ minds.
It is said that these verses if chanted with a clear and pure intention are helpful in protecting the seeker by attracting the Good around.
The Pali pronunciation here is exemplary and difficult to find.

I met few locals in Kelaniya, most of them added me that Wimal and others had nothing at the begining, but today, they have stolen properties which they collected during the days of Meeharaka Rajaakspskeh. Most of them praised about the current situation – but added nothing can be achieved by Alibaba and Horu 40 rather than sending the message across that they are real thieves that stolen the funds of tax payers.
I am on a visit to lanka these days, suprisingly I can see any of the placards like I got to see in Nov 2014. No wasteful events are there to be seen under the current rulers. They seem to be working die hard to iron out th eproblems left behind by Meeharaka Rajano
