Gnanasara rested in seclusion there for a while and experienced the bliss of release. Then he thanked the old man and left. As he was stepping on to the sidewalk he turned to take a last look at the place that had given him haven and then he saw it. The sign on the wall said, “Fort Wayne Mosque.” Shouting “Budu Ammo” he started running. He wanted to get back to the Buddhist Temple as soon as possible. And it was getting dark too. He didn’t know he was running in the wrong direction and into an even more horrendous experience waiting for him in the blocks frequented by big black gay men.

It is so sad that some people believe they can just hurl abuse at anyone in monkhood, or for that matter any human being, and expect us to believe everything. I know several people who attended the event. All monks conducted themseves with utmost dignity and respect for those attending the event. Please do not bring allegations against anyone like this. We are free thinkers, all of us, why do you believe that we are going to believe just anything by one human against another? When these monks leave their soil and deal with you foreigners they may appear charming, but if you listen to their speeches in Sinhala over the last few months any educated, rational minded, un-biased person can see the hypocrisy in their words and actions. Further they have spread many, many lies which has been refuted in public whilst abusing the saffron robe to make the gullible by stander believe their lies. As a result they have unleashed a wave of hatred, violense and abuse against Muslims and Christians in this country and are taking Sri Lanka down the very same path which lead us to a 30 year civil war.
Make no mistake, this is no fault of Buddhism. It is but the fault of these monks who claim to be acting in the best interest of Buddhism. Several highly reputed monks including the most senior monks in Sri Lanka – the Mahanayakas have either condemned or distanced them selves from these imposters. US embassy was well aware of BBS, but they granted them visa in order to promote them as BBS’s work has tarnished Sri Lankan image and helped the UN resolution against Sri Lanka.
Rajapakse regime is making a major mistake at the moment by taking BBS for granted. In future, they shall cut the throats of Rajapakse family, and would try to establish a dictatorship, which Rajapakse will never lead.
This is not a simple politics, when waves get rough they can turn either side. For those who responded to my comments I am thankful, regardless of how they felt about my thoughts. Those who immediately start hurling accusations at me – sorry, no comment back to you except to say that you have no idea how to debate matters. In any debate let’s discuss the points, the fact and NOT hurl accusations at each other. After all we dont even know who we are. We are just someone unknown in cyberspace to each other.
Now, if we are to eliminate every person who has ever made a mistake and made a wrong choice in life and allow monkhood, priesthood, pastorhood only to those who are totally clean then I am afraid we will have very few men of our different religions able to lead us.
If someone drinks and drives that is not good. The drivers license will be impounded and one may not be able to drive for a long time again.
I personally do not believe anything unless there is proof, but I again made inquiries and this event was well attended by monks of all pursuasions – Tibetan, Lankan, Thai, etc. It had been a beautiful event, very inspiring, full of benediction to those who participated. We should be thankful to the senior residential monks, the temple committe and all the volunteers for a day of peace, meditation and tranquility.
May all beings be happy and well.
