Plato.
“The case is to be tried before a Special jury.”
In order to find the suspect not guilty.
I see a Tamil Name among the suspects.
“Fabian Royston to be tried in absentia?”
Fabian Royston Toussaint had worked as a director of Eco Support Consulting, a private company owned by a Malaysian-born businesswoman Malini Ventura which was established in May 2014, and registered in Victoria. He was sacked by Malini in January 1915.

Yea, Lasantha was also killed by Pitchai Jesuthasan, a LTTEer, and majority believed overwhelmed by patriotism. Keep spin on…..before the sin catches up the off-spring.

Nothing is going to come out of this, the current President is following in the footsteps of the past President to hold unto power he is influencing the court to protect the military and Gota.
Just a couple of foot solders of last govt hit squad is charged, even then a part of that is out of the country, no investigations as to who gave the order or how these people left the country.
Now people should understand why Karuna was made the deputy leader of SLFP as well as given a Minister post.

It’s a good day for justice in Sri Lanka. Whether he trial will be fair or biased we do not know but political murders committed during Rajapakse period have been swept under the carpet and in many cases even witnesses to the crimes were also extra judicially tortured or killed. In many cases evidences were destroyed.
All the LTTE perpetrators of killing were sentenced to capital punishment and those happened to witness the crimes were also decimated.
This trial will give a clue as to the independence, credibility and reliability of the judicial system in Sri Lanka. If it was carefully planned and stage managed to let the real perpetrators of the murder off the hook then there is a need for independent observers or even involvement of such third party in the process of trial and judgement.

Just ordering independent inquiry into shooting of Jaffna university students by Siriseana is similar to the MR order to have an inquiry by Scotland on Raviraj assassination.

I think if Gotha becomes president he will conclude this case fast saying LTTE killed Raver a also but he has wiped out the LTTE in 2009. He will also go on BBC hard talk and say WHO IS RAZR ? I DO NOT KNOW ? WAS HE A SRI LANKAN OR A US CITIZEN LIKE ME ?

In addition it has to be investigated who is behind the violence being committed by the group called ava and who is giving them things to attack innocent people here and there with in broad day light. Recently aftr they beat up people in a place in Jaffna, the guy who beat them up passed 12 checkpoints in Jaffna before going nto a place and hiding. Not one police checkpoint checked him or even stopped him though he was riding pell mell.
Reminiscent of grease yakkas? Probably the government is in the know already.
