Sajith Premadasa who does NOT have a degree from the London School of Economics and is a liar is in with the Mahinda Jarapassa regime. Sajith is TOTALLY UNFIT to lead the UNP or be joint opposition candidate at the next prez. elections.

The EP in any case must be abolished!

Ha Ha …Apparently Dayan’s wonder boy sajith got caught red handed , partners in crime …… there is nothing new in this news article apart from Sajith’s double dipping exposure.

PS : Dayan pl write another article promoting your wonder boy as the common candidate.

That is where srilanka’s so called powerful political analysts not to many but to he himself looses his credibility …..

His colours are similar to that of Kelaniya Mervin.

DJ has been truly exposed long time ago , but many people were reluctant to accept this reality owing to his BS theories of Gramasky , lenin et al.

i’ve compared similarities between Dr Dayan silva (jayatilake) and Dr Mervin silva , believe it or not , both of them have more similarities than differences.

          Dear Friend, Srilal@,
I read your posts somewhere else. Thanks. Anyway, I was somewhat taken aback seeing no any progress made in terms of lanken politics. Else, I am doing well, hope you too are well. My only hope as you too wish Rv. Sobitha to work with CBK defeating MR ( most dangerous leader we the nation ever had sofar). When reading any kind of lanken news, I hate to see that nothing seems to work. I ask why CBK has failed to come forward yet. If UNP would choose KARU or Sajith as the the common candidate, thing would turn its way much worst. I have no doubt, those who then attacked CBK would rally round to her if she would be the common candidate for a UNP led coalition. See alone the manner, Hotel deal with Parker is being handled by MR regime (with direct mediation of MR as the country’s leader)is so absurd. Dr. Harsha Silva made it very clear, none of Parker’s hotels would work without casinos (FACTS were produced by him in that TV debate).

            Both Srilal and Sirimal,

Good to see we have great analysts in CT comments forum.
Hope those in power and the opposition parties read our comments.

Earlier I wrote a 10 Point comment as to why the opposition parties should submit Madam CBK as the common candidate. She is the only capable candidate to face Monster Rajapakse brothers.
Hope the opposition parties including UNP will unite on proposing Madam CBK as common Pres. candidate. Otherwise it will be UNP themselves who will be the loosers. There’s no way Sajith could challenge MR. He is out. I think Rev.Sobitha thero will work out the plan.

Also it’s a must that we get rid of 18th Amendment before next Presidential elections. This is MR’s trump card. It must go.

James Packer is out from Sri Lanka’s Casino business. Today Ravi Wijeratne says he is not interested in casino business with JP.
The Austrlian Brawl sent shock waves throughout the world. I hope same situation with Dammika and JKH.

Finally Good to see the true nature of Sajith, Mahinda, DJ trio connection.

Other Parliament crooks will jump overboard when due time comes.

Finally it is so sad to hear the news of Lakbima news editor Saman Wagaarachchi been fired during the week of World Press freedom day. This is the week we ask for free media and freedom of expression. What criminal offense Mr.Wagaarchchi did for him to get this severe punishment. Is it the “fake money” cartoon. He should file a fundamental rights case with UN Human rights commission on this wrongful dismissal.

It is all due to the lunacy of our rulers that we suffer today.

Hope Mr.Saman will get justice from UNHR commission.

              Lasantha ,

it’s always good to have a decent conversation among the like minded people , our wish is to see a bloodless transition of power and a prosperous , trouble free srilanka.

“James Packer is out from Sri Lanka’s Casino business. Today Ravi Wijeratne says he is not interested in casino business with JP.”

don’t believe every thing you read Lasantha , this Ravi W character is an unknown entity until recently , all we know , he is having two casino licenses at his disposal , under the present prevailing condition , any thing is possible in SL( remember how JR described his authority under his rule ,i.e swapping man to a woman talk)

As to James packer , he is an arrogant mutt ! as far as Crown Colombo is concerned deal is intact ,in fact the deal is in plain English in their brochures and web site.

“He should file a fundamental rights case with UN Human rights commission on this wrongful dismissal. “

Sri lankan people can no longer go to UNHRC to file fundamental rights , our visionary Load sarath N silva was so kind & generous to scrap that option from SL people as he thought it was quite unnecessary to have such a procedure in place when we have 5 star practicing democracy in SL.

            Dear Sirimal ,

i wish i could share some personnel information here , but i can’t as this is a public forum , nevertheless we can discuss and share our own thoughts about political/social aspirations for a greater Sri lanka .

Sirimal pl remember CBK is a seasoned political animal , she is having the first hand experience of being the president for two terms and she knows exactly what to do and not to do , my gut feelings say she would definitely run for the top job again if the opposition gave the chance , there are a few stumbling blocks within the UNP , notably RW and sajith factor , as far as i see , both RW and Sajith prefer to stay and continue where they are right now , let me elaborate what i meant here , both RW and sajith know , neither of them having a chance of defeating MR at the forthcoming presidential election , then what is the next best alternative option , having a common opposition (CO) candidate to defeat MR , who is that CO candidate capable of defeating MR ? as we all know it’s only CBK ! what is the guarantee that RW will retain/remain as the head of the coalition in the event of a forming a CBK led government ? same applies to sajith as well , would they be better of under a new administration than the current double dipping sordid action, at the moment RW enjoys the full benefit of being the opposition leader from both sides of the isles , whereas Sajith continues to enjoy his little kingdom of Hambanthota under the patronage and blessings of MR , basically three of them cohabiting and sharing the power & wealth according to their inheritance , now one needs to critically examine the three players (MR,RW and SP) total outcome from the presidential election , surely three of them are about to lose more than they can gain in the event of a CBK home coming , would any of them possibly entertain such a suicidal scenario ?

when it comes to JVP , JVP desperately wants a regime change , but their main concern is , who is going to replace MR ? if is it with CBK ,their memories are still afresh and constantly reminding the bitter lesson learned from CBK , there is a saying in English ” once bitten twice shy ” (Ginipelelen bata kapu miniha kana madiri eliyatath bayayi) , JVPs tactical move under AKD will be interesting and it’s bit difficult to predict at this moment of time Sirimal !

thanks. Srilal :) Thanks Lasantha :)

Honestly saying, I mostly enjoy reading your posts than reading articles by DJ for sometime now.

Srilal@, I read somewhere, that CBK was given few appointments to hold put off discussions on the topic – rapid increase of religious violence in the country, but for some reasons, the discussions were not held yet. I have the feeling MR deliberately put any kind of discussions off.

Agree with you – on JPVers ” once bitten twice shy ” (Ginipelelen bata kapu miniha kana madiri eliyatath bayayi), nevertheless, I hope Rev. Sobitha^s mediation will help to bring all opposition under one umbrella soon.
I ll write more about this in coming days.

Oh! My Gosh CBK as common candidate? It is much better to go With MR for another few more years if there in no suitable person to find. I would like to suggest Dr. Jayanath Danapala (pardon me CT) as common candidate for the presidential election.

Need of the hour is to defeat MONSTER -MR and his oligarchs to pave the way any candidates to reestablish diminishing democratic values of the nation – there CBK is the most suitable candidates to anyone with a healthy mind.

              a) Sajith will not have the capacity to convince the large masses
              b) So is it with RW

but CBK backed by Rev.Sobitha Thero/UNP/CBK fraction of UPFA/DP (SF) will definitely be sending Rajapakshes go home.

Once Rajapaksha are defeated, under the new constitution, through proper elections, people may choose their own leader that will respect democratic values. But enabling the transition from today^s undemocratic states to democratic state – can only be made by CBK.

“Once Rajapaksha are defeated, under the new constitution, through proper elections, people may choose their own leader that will respect democratic values.”

How do you propose to deal with the bureaucracy, judiciary, armed forces, and rest of the institutions (the permanent state)who benefited by being close to the ruling parties irrespective of whichever party is in power and have been happily constructing a monolith state denying all forms of diversity?

Would you be happy to abolish entire state machinery if you want to start at the very beginning? A very good place to start
When you read you begin with A-B-C.

When you build a nation afresh you need the support of all section of the people.

It is good to get rid this mess at last. But your duties are still to be fulfilled. Work according to your conscience , not to others tunes. We have to change this system for the future generations. Sajith, Mahinda, Gotabaya or Tiran are just timely apeared garbage. What we have to focus is on clear cut change to this system. People’ power is the most important in such a change. You still possesses such a creative and enegetic contribution towards a mass scale change. We must create a society where such stupid maffia people like Thilanga, Tiran, Duminda ban from the administrtion process and parliament. We have to create a society which Sajith, MR and Gota’s true face can be exposed in one day. We have to create a system which is corruption free, free access to information, protect Human rights of all and fear free society. All these politicians are gangsters, theives, murderes. They are the worst enemy of common man. They spend money and fight to be a MP to make more money from poor tax payers. They are blue collar theives. They spend millions of our money for their own benefits! Are we puppets to be silence any more. Fight for the nation than fight for editor ship of LAKBIMA. Serve for the people who dont have a voice ! Change this system to create a new system with other forces. (Not a mere change of heads)

Sri Lanka politics have created lot of wolves and whores. You never know who the wolves and ehores are until somebody tells you.

Recently there were news that UNP Harin Fernando meeting UPFA Hirunika Premachandra at BRC night club, while TNA registering as a party.

The three UPFA coalition Left members (Vasu Deva, Tissa Vitharana and DEW Gunasekara) were to meet Rev.Sobitha Thero.

UNP talking about a common Presidential candidate.

    Sri Lanka Politics getting excited.

Somebody please help Mr.Saman Wagaarachchi who was Fraudulently dismissed by MR find employment to sustain his life.
Nobody should be allowed to silence honest Journalists who are doing a wonderful Patriotic job to our democratic country.

    Sapumal,

I agree with you 100%. Yes Parliament has become a mere “Drama House” where the actors play different roles, but the drama is same.

Now Parliament is occupied and backed by Drug money, Race Boutique owners, Ethenol Money, Cocain Money, Brothel house owners, Black money and Casino Moguls.

A honest, respected, well qualified and a true Patriot cannot get into Parliament.

Now even in order to contest just for a PC election, one has to spend over 50 Million rupees and some UPFA members spend over 500 Million. Guess who has this amount of money other than the Drug Kin pins or their representatives.

We people should change this Governing Parliament Cult, changing hands every five years and should bring in real qualified and honest people.

I am happy if the country could be run by Well qualified and honest and transparent board of Intellectuals than these uneducated and uncultured thieves.

One way for a despot and his cohorts in a resource-short 3rd world country to survive and continue to plunder the depleting resources of the country is to (1) Capture Parliament with the help of lackeys and weaken the Opposition to a non-entity (2) to destroy the capacity for the legal system to be vibrant, effective and independent – and (3) purge the independent press and media(TV mainly) of its more vociferous critical media-men. Dictators in Zimbabwe, former Libya, North Korea, Uganda – all friends of Rajapakse – have done this. The only other hope is the religious leadership in the country. And we know all too well what the quality and capacity of the Mahanayakas are.

backlash, all your points are valid, but you have forgotten one important point when comparing to the dictators you mention. We have elections in this country.People have still voted for the rajapakshe’s.If they did not they would have by now come onto the streets like in egypt when mubarak was there. The point that you have forgotten is what is the alternative.

The people are scratching their heads wondering if they don’t vote for these buggers who can they vote for. They can see a lot of development also taking place because china has given 4 Billion USD as loans to the rajapakshes. The stingy west when the UNP was in government gave how much of loans? They want their party to be in power but won’t give loans for development like china. As a result many countries in africa too have moved towards china. They have the resources that china wants and we also have the strategic location that it wants,so it carefully selects the countries and gives the loans. If the west does not counter this by offering loans to the opposition then they can kiss goodbye to their influence in these countries.

As for the alternative, see how the UNP leader clings on to the leadership knowing full well that if a ballot was held among all the UNP members he would be not even contesting. The only way to have an alternative is to democratise the party and have this ballot so that the members can decide on whom they want as the leader.

So though your comments as always are very perceptive you have missed the big picture here as to how to depose the incumbent whose failings the people are aware of but are unable to do anything about because forces beyond their control such as the west which should be more generous and the party heirarchy of the UNP are not contributing their fair share towards the people of srilanka.

Sajith made a speech the other day. In it he claimed that the UNP does not need advise from foreign countries to come to power. This was obviously aimed at RW who is at MIT as a guest lecturer. An accomplishment our Sajith can only dream of. Then he went on to say that people are slinging mud at him while doing just that to his leader. What anyone sees in this moron is baffling. He cannot and should not lead anything.

Agreed about the “quality and capacity” of the Mahanayakes’ BUT in the old days they were guided and counseled in Layman’s affairs by the Diyawadana Nilame.

It was an accepted fact that a monk was not expected to know about these things and required guidance.

Now there is a rascal in that position and all this BBS etc is due in no small measure to that !
