Sajith Violates Public Privacy In An Effort To Build Brand Image

Giving scant regard to the privacy of the masses, Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa was seen recently violating the privacy of the masses on social media by broadcasting live their personal grievances for the entire world to see.

Premadasa through his official Facebook page activated the ‘live’ feed during public day on October 19, 2016 where he transmitted through several live feeds the issues of men and women who went to him in hope of finding solutions to their housing problems.sajith-premadasa

The live feed was carried out in an effort to build Premadasa’s public image as a politician, however, Premadasa had failed to obtain the consent of these people who were shown in the live broadcast.

As standard practice, if a person is going to be broadcast live to an audience or even to record an event of this nature, his or her consent must be obtained by way of signing a consent form beforehand, however Premadasa had not followed this procedure, the Colombo Telegraph learns.

A source close to a person who attended the meeting pointed out that the public day is organized in order to find solutions to the problems of the masses. “All ministers have a public day where members of the public can go and relate their problems and seek the minister’s intervention to find a solution to it, but in this case Minister Premadasa made the public day a spectacle,” the source said.

“Many of the people who went to him on Wednesday were people who don’t have a house of their own, but that doesn’t mean they want the whole world to know about their poverty and financial issues. It’s a matter of privacy and ethics, and Minister Premadasa has violated both because he has openly shown their faces and aired conversations to the world by broadcasting this live video through his Facebook page,” the source pointed out.

“Bloody hell. Clueless mutt” someone who has seen these footages on his Facebook told Colombo Telegraph.

Premadasa’s latest stunt comes just days after a video was leaked where it showed him doling out jobs to his supporters and their relatives in his hometown who had worked in support of him during last year’s Parliamentary Election.

This was the reason why UNP fail to do the job as opposition under onesingle leader.
I doubt Premadasa Junior would remain the he is alsoin the near future.

On that day when he called the invitees as only his election supporters should be present to meet with him for thejobs.

Latter is a greater discrimination- since not only his supporters but also others – are all human beings and srilankens.

CT! Are you talking to this guy (Sajith Premadasa) who has no knowledge of ethics or privacy law.
Now he will call his advisers (who get paid to educate these stupid politicians on kindergarten matters) and ask what the hell Colombo Telegraph is talking about: Ethics….. privacy…. What the hell is that.
Thank you CT for providing us with a good joke of the day!

Wow! Educated at Royal College and London School of Economics. But, what dominates his behaviour is Maria Kade and Keselwatte upbringing.

Go on disfunctional UNP! Please appoint this guy as your next leader!

Go on dumb Sri Lankan electorate! Please vote this moneky in as one of our next national level leaders!

His credentials were proven beyond any doubt. During his brilliant campaign against unemployment in SL. Just the other day.

As Minister of Housing his job is to run Sri Lanka’s public housing policy. Not to play “God” to desperate people for 3rd class publicity.

This is not personal philanthropy. Means are disbursed by Sri Lanka’s tax-payers. Not by by his cahritable foundation buult on dubious funding. SP’s job is to adminster public funds wisely. Nothing else.

Quit promoting yourself using cheap tactics!

    Cheers!

      Bennie,

that has nothing to do any kind of education, but their genes. Son like Father.
This man should be made very accountable for all the problems that UNP faced during the last few years alone. That costed lankens that much. No proper opposition was the case MR led idiots to easily allow various kind of looting.
JUST LISTEN TO THE MANNER PREMADASA JUNIOR GETTING ON WITH THE MEN PRESENT THERE:::: like a thug.. I really dont know what this man had been learning whle stay long in London. I only know even a man who just cleaned toilets in UK behave to have learnt some good things from them.

There is a saying: Baluwaligaya kawadawatha kelin koranda baha.

That is it… You will end up in vain if you make efforts to straighten the dog s tail. That is fully applicable to Sajith P and Rajaakshe offsprings. They will never be able to become honest and decent politicians, but people will give them more time to see them in mirror. God bless this torn nation.

The public is the master. This fool is the servant. That is why he is called a “public servant”. I think he has got it completely skewed!

He is following the Brown Sahib model of governance.

His grand parents would have been treated by the European this way. Now, he mimics the European and treats others the same.

Its embarrassing to watch and think people act this way this day and age!

Well, while this is true that it is a violation of privacy; if we are going to hold “balls to the wall” for every thing, then, “”Bloody hell. Clueless mutt”” is also with bad taste and with scant regard for ethical journalism. This is hardly a quotable quote, and seems like dissent dished out as a quote. Just that Colombo Telegraph is hardly a viable Or credible source of information.

Any dignified author, or an ethical journalist would have the “family jewels” to stand by their publications ehile taking ownership for the “information” they provide. An article, heck, even a letter with no name attached to t should never be taken seriously.

Sajith lied about getting a degree from the London School of Economics.

He is uneducated and belongs to the Caste of rent-seeking politicians who have ruined Sri Lanka by stealing from and lying to the people.

This was proved 2 years ago.

It was the London Medical Attest isseud by them to that time, were interpreted by SP as his degree certficate. As many others of the same category, even if he could have been registered as a student of that college for few years, he had no whatsoever certificate of completion of a degree course.

Please leave it – U dont necessarily possess a degree to behave well. We also have men in Germany and several other developed countries that become good politicians in the later life, but having going through the ladder to become so.

What bothers me here is his thuggish behaviours – which is to achieve anything by hook or crook. Latter nature is practised by his father and the man whose everything is now being criticised – none other than Mahinda Rajaakshe. So we dont need the kind of men again to return and turn this country a messy world again.

    Clueless…true!

    Mutt…true!

What do you expect of premadasas son anyway?? Kept his eventual killer in his own room.. and gave truckloads of arms to terrorists!

    Clueless. Mutt.

Premadasa “gave truckloads of arms to terrorists!”

Just like Mahinda, who gave truckloads of cash to Prabhakaran so he could cheat the people and win the election and then hosted Maithripala to a hopper dinner just before he betrayed him. Clueless? Mutt?

Most of these guys are like six of one and half a dozen of the other – bloody corrupt arseholes.

Predictable that one of the trolls would say that.. but guess what ..never proven..and we all know that.. including you.. it’s just what you’ve been led to believe

And just in case he did give money..good .. cause we’d otherwise still be living under the shadow of the world’s worst terrorist group?…or is it that you empathise with them ???

As for the truckloads of ammunition we lived through it.. we saw it happening.. not an iota of chance that it’s just a “story”

So let’s just stick to what we know for absolute certain

Ok words, as you say ” So let’s just stick to what we know for absolute certain ”

“Most of these guys are like six of one and half a dozen of the other – bloody corrupt arseholes. “

          Or do you disagree???

The mutt who completely destroyed the worlds most ruthless terrorist organization in just under 3 years. I’m quite happy such a mutt rules this land. We all know that the Tamil eelam was just around the horizon when that mutt came into power.

This just reminds me planters in the 19th century assigning work for their ‘coolies’. This is not different from the slavery. Any one can see his behaviour, attitudes and the way he command the poor people. Is this the democracy or sovereignty or ‘yahapalanaya’???

He is doing all these as he got himself thoroughly exposed of his true character due to his own video which got leaked and published in fb. He is now trying to project that he is genuinely trying to solve the problem of unemployed youth and people who need houses.
He is not giving an answer as to why he is only selecting people who worked for his election campaign for jobs and whether it is justifiable to treat such people with public funds by proving jobs under his ministry when there is so many unemployed youth in the other electorates. His father new very well that one of the reasons for 1971 insurrection was the frustration of youth that they did not receive employment according to the merits without political favors. It had been one of the reasons for youth unrest in North as well which LTTE exploited to the maximum.
Being a very senior politician it is in his own interest as well as of the country to get rid of petty party politics/practices and adopt prudent policies suitable to take the country forward according to Good Governance Principles. Future voters comprising today’s youth will reject all politicians who do not change progressively. Parakrama

      Parakrama,

he will be the next RAJPAKSHE to this country.
No doubt about that. Ranil is almost 68 years now. By next election, he will be 72 years.
If Premadasa Junior would not change his nature, he will loose for ever.
People are now fed up of the kind of leaders. There will be no return to Rajaakshe in this country again.
People will never respect thuggish politics.

Can you imagine, the way Premadasa Junior threatened that poor man with indulgency to alcohol ” I will destroy you if you would not change”. I really dont know perhaps, this is the langague those people would get it seriously, meaning not necessarily that SP is a thug. However, I cant differentiate these thoughts with that his father and Rajapakshe men.
There is no decency at all but to come to power by testesterone.

I am really fed up with Sri Lankan politics! In January 2015 I was happy to see MR leaving and Maithri arriving on a Yahapalanaya promise! All my hopes have now faded. This is the same crowd somewhat better but not good enough to be satisfied! Stealing state money goes on without end. Independant commissions do not function as expexcted. The president has no power to control as he gave it up untimely without realizing the implications. He is powerless. He should have first got the constitution bill passed before giving up power. Did it the wrong way and he ios now just a bystander with a lot of talk but no action!

Each time you feel like please never forget, it is no better to Parkistan or other countries inthe region. Even if many make every efffort to brand it as -MIDINCOME EARNING – but most known to you – no other sources needed, behave like pigs. They dont care about principles, they just want to get some money only

      a) I know some still go after Rajakashes, just because they believe, that iRAN back projects in Uwa OR like aareas gave them jobs -but money grabs.

      b) I know some still go after Rajakapshe, just becase southern high way and lanken road building…. they believe, it is the magical power of Rjaakshe allowed them that…. most of them feel so unfortunatley.

Use people’s grievances to advertise them

Use people’s money to advertise them (gambled money through lotteries)

Use a part of that gambled money to build some houses and behave as if they built them.
Maintain poverty ridden electorate to stay in politics forever.

This has been instrumental them to get elected each time and it has become a part of lanken culture in the course of time. So going to compare lanken politics with those of european countries is no means meaningful.

Either drug men or illegal fradulent men finance those election campaigns or justbeing ignored by political leadership each time. Truths woudl not come to surface in the aftermath of each post election sessons either. It is believed why MR to have been that close to Lanza Dpty minister of the current regime in the past connected with all the funding related handlings. Else no such senior men woudl ever have been fallen to the level – mingling with drug traffickers of the kind. Even today, they have not investigated the cases accordingly.
Helicopter lifts made by Athigaru needs to be investigated on what basis he abused them at that time. Todday we dont even see any of the hellcopter travels being used by incumbent president or PM for their intern travels. That should have saved millions of funds tothe state treatury. People are but no thankful to them in that regard. That is the nature of corruption proxy majority folks.

Come on give him a break. I am convinced that Sri Lankan privacy laws are different to those in Western world. Not long ago I’ve seen an anti-corruption NGO published a list of names, doctors and their children, names and telephone numbers. No one even bothered.

Athul, It is time that sensible people stop relying on main political parties or its leaders any longer. Instead they should work hard to establish systems and procedures to tie up the marauding politicians and tame them. Depriving nomination is one way out; like in the cases of Mervyn and Duminda. Others who face corruption charges should be de-activated by supporting due legal processes and depriving civic rights through existing parliamentary procedures. Parakrama.

We should work outside the government and politicians. It can be done, like the TV station that is helping people. The sooner we realize it the better. We need organization and the money will come.

You don’t need to be in politics to do good work, and you dont have to stop after 5 years. No free vehicle permit, though. No respect either.

We have created a topsy turvy Sri Lanka! Whatever mankind, through its long evolution, determined to be wrong and harmful to society have been made the norm and fit to be broadcast on facebook! Sajith Premadasa also has presidential ambitions!

What a mess we are in!
