The new Army Commander assures us that he has appointed responsible Army Officers to conduct an Inquiry. Is it not Responsible Officers in the Army that were deployed to Weliweriya as well? The Forces should be cut down in size to the level of the former Decorative Force we had, thereby the Huge Defence budget could be brought down for country’s development or to reduce the present cost of living to the masses. For whom are we maintaining such an Army strength? To fight India?

If these JOKERS who spoke were in the Opposition today, by now they would have burned transformers, Busses inciting the masses. There would have been a riotous situation in the whole country today. Fortunately there is a Disciplinarian and a Gentleman in the Opposition who will not resort to third grade tactics to score cheap Brownie points. So the country is spared of violence, although Dullas and Mervyn tries to point the finger at the Opposition, for the failure of the MR govt to have killed innocent civilians.

I agree with you but I think this time he was way to mild in calling for full investigation. He needs to be much more force full. This type of violence is not going to stop if he carries on like this. The Rakapashes just laugh their asses off at him. He needs to demand the immediate resignation of the secretary of defense. He also needs to insist that any investigation done under the current secretary of defense will not be accepted.

Guys – This is only one side of the story. Those who live in this area have come out to protest. But, we also forget the fact that water in Kurunegala (OK let me say), North Western Province, North Central Province etc is also big time contaminated and lot of people have got Kidney diseases. The government is not taking any action to standardize the manure we bring down because the biggies get commissions I guess.
We shout about Milk from NZ being bad, but, almost all food produced in Sri Lanka including Rice and Vegetables are as bad to consume. Very soon, people will die young, Will get sick and the Bodu Bala Sena worry of Singhalees being wiped out (actually all Sri Lankans though the BBS doesn’t seem to have such wide vision) will become a reality – not because of other races, but because our own guys have paved the way to kill our own selves – BRAVO !

Please look at all the evidence about Kidney Disease etc. Operating purely in the belief that it is poisoning caused by chemicals in fertiliser etc on which the government MPs made commissions won’t fix the problem because that is NOT the whole story. To continue to sing this song will not cure this serious problem. Overall, the mess in EVERY part of our lives is caused by the evil that this government is delivering to us.
