      Champa,
It is not only the current President but also the former President also fell on their own sword. In 2015, Mahinda lost because of power greediness. There was no necessity for him to call for earlier elections. He wanted to establish his Family kingdom after doing some chilly things like appointing Karuna who was a real opportunistic terrorist and using him to kill number of Tamil Parliamentarians and journalists. What is the necessity for killing those Tamil parliamentarians? What is the necessity to attck Muslims? What is the necessity of puuting Sarath Fonseka into jail? What is the necessity to change chief justice Sirani. For him the war victory over LTTE followed with maintaining rule of law would have made him President for ever. But greediness made him to go beyond human principles. Even after loosing the power he had the opportunity to retire with respect but greediness made him to do bad things even though he had considerable support among Sinhalese. But I don’t know who fell victim of other. The greediness to become second time by Sirisena or greediness of Mahinda to come back to power and then cheat Sirisena. Both should have wait for sometime (just 3-6 months) Presidential election and only one year left for parliamentary election. Why couldn’t they wait for the opportunity. What was the hurry? They were afraid of people. They believed that they can buy few people for money. Now you exposed yourself as coup masters and bribe masters? This is what you earned now. Do the country need coup masters and bribe masters?

MS was the puppet in all this. MR and GL with their kutthu-karaya’s should also be falling on their swords for their misplaced opportunism.

The only way for MS to redeem himself is to resign, and go gracefully.

For once Champa you are getting so many thumbs up, when previously your comments were filled with thumbs down! Keep it up!

From your writings I know you are intelligent and well educated. You write well and I like your style even though I do not agree with your views you had. You must be coming from a good family and gone to good school and had a good education.

        Shrikharan
I don’t give two hoots about thumbs up or thumbs down. I rarely even look at them.
I like thumbs down because it means I hit the nail on the head. Thumbs up doesn’t give me such pleasure.
I write what I want to write and always stand by what is right according to my own analysis.

      Anaga,

“Why is this notice in Sinhala only?”

Because Sinhala only is still in force whether Tamils helped prop up the pariamentary democracy: Democracy is for Sinhalese only.

Tamils, Muslims and others are “karpingha” to be used and thrown away!

The same old, wash, rinse, spin, repeat. History will repeat, I grantee.

        THIRU!
You have Said it.Democracy is for the Sihalese only. Tamils are door mats- wipe your feet and then go in to receive a warm welcome within. Whether it is UNP, SLFP, United Front, JVP or what ever the Sinhala Parties.

I think the FIRST thing to be done is to make a decision and tell the country: Who the Legitimate Prime Minister is. This must be the PRIORITY in view of the “Removal” and “Appointment” of a “New PM”. Let anyone who shows a majority in Parliament be the PM and then proceed once again to restore Democracy in Governance. Already, we see “High Handed” activities have commenced. For example, Mr. Kapila Chandrasena against whom all sorts of allegations od “Corruption”, “Bribery”; “Mismanagement” are being investigated by a Presidential Commission has been appointed the Chairman of SriLankan Air. That is more than enough of evidence to judge what is in stock for this country with the “Newly” appointed PM and the Cabinet “Introduced” through the back door by the “Mad Man”, the present President. Let us get back to NORMAL & DEMOCRATIC business in Parliament. Let any CHANGES happen in an orderly manner, so that the country will not lose its credibility.
