State Minister of International Trade Sujeewa Senasinghe in attempting to explain communications with Arjun Aloysius, the man who is at the centre of the Central Bank bond scam, implicated himself by saying that these calls were to obtain information for a book he was writing on the issue.

Senasinghe’s book was published in July 2015, a year before he was appointed to the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) of the 8th Parliament, established on May 6, 2016. Senasinghe replaced MP Velu Kumar who resigned on July 7, 2016.
It has been revealed that Aloysius has spoken with Senasinghe on no less than 62 occasions between May 6, 2016 and October 28, 2016 (36 incoming calls and 26 outgoing calls), while he sat in the COPE committee in which he insisted there was no wrong doing.
Clearly none of these 62 calls, which the Bond commission is concerned could be related to ‘research’ for the book that Senasinghe authored.

While the COPE was discussing the bond scam Mahendran was inquiring from Serasinha from time to time whether he was explaining to COPE why there is no frahud as per his book. That explains the calls.

The book leading the COPE Committee ……… LOL. In Martin Wickramasinghe’s “Madol Duwa”, which we kids affectionately read in school, this kind of charade as of COPE committee work was described as “Naadagama”. It is very apt to remind the readers, that Naadagama itself was a scam of the public, in that case a small scale one at village level.
Certainly by the time the scam has been up-scaled to the level of the PM, Minster of Finance, Governor of the Central Bank of SLK, His beloved Son-in-Law looking after the interests of his and the Governor’s beloved Daughter, the Guardians of various State and Corporation Pension Funds, Top level Public Servants, dozens of MPs and other Minsters playing the role of Crook Protection Gangs, and AG etc, the small scale scam had become a MEGA, Trillion Scale SCAM. Senasinghe is just one cog in the machinery of conspiracy, with a broken gear tooth, failing to harmonize and latch in to the string of lies and deceits the scammers are perpetuating to pull wool over the public. Poor guy, wait a little while until the PM sacrifices him in the fire, to appease the roaring public opinion against these conspirators.

1. As per his book there is no problem; (of course, he should not have any problems because the loot has amounted to Rs 1 trillion now).
2. As per Attorney General’s books there is a problem; (and problems after problems with incremental effect).
3. We do feel the problem just like the hell-fire; because of high Bank interest rates; Exchange rate (pathetic performance of our rupee at the foreign currency/exchange market); No FDI at all (genuine investors are scared to invest their hard-earn money within this volatile and hostile environment); massive loss to EPF (over Rs. 8.5 billion). Sujeewa got busted lying. Just after the news of the calls made came out in the public, there was a TV interview of Sujeewa’s good buddy, Maithri Gunaratne(MG) by Faraz Shauketaly. In that interview, MG claimed that the only excuse Sujeewa may be able to give is that he was researching it for his book. Although an attorney, the dumb ass that Sujeewa is, he used exactly that excuse to cover his tracks without even looking into its viability.
If you look back at this entire situation, UNP MP Velu Kumar very conveniently wanted out of COPE for “personal reasons”. I believe this was orchestrated by King Hora, RW so he could get his junior poodle in to COPE to scuttle the investigation. Junior did a lot of barking and got in the footnotes to save the behind of RW and his buddies. Aloysius probably all along knew exactly what was going on inside the investigation thanks to Sujeewa.
When questioned about the 62 calls made to and from Aloysius, instead of answering the accusation, all junior poodle could do was bring up the crooked things the others have done. It was a classic case of deflection. I cant believe this guy is a lawyer. Perhaps, the practice of being a politician is more lucrative than the practice of law.
Either way, if little Suji has any self respect he will resign. I am pretty sure he wont. Just like amnesia Ravi, he will need to get pushed out. Then claim the virtues of Yahapalanaya/Democracy and be given a plush office at Temple Trees and a new title and all the perks of being a Minister. Not a bad outcome for being the hatchet man for King Hora who will wash his hands off him just as he has done with everyone else.

In SL, people have a traditional belief about action and reaction specially on negative deeds. They call it ‘Dittha dhamma vedaneeya kamma’ which means a negative action (that you commit in this life) can follow you within this life to show that you are wrong!
The interesting thing is that it will follow you until you admit you have done a wrong karma (action)! Once you accept it only it disappears from your cycle of Samsara.
Many in Sri Lanka now believe that Yahapalana leaders including Senasingha lied to people, misled them by blatant lies at the presidential and general election held in 2015. They not only lied but destroyed Sri Lankans hard earned determination to make the country a success. It is not just an individual crime but a national one of universal magnitude. Now they reap what they have sown.
The best solution for them now is to resign as a government and let the people decide.
