Sweden Drops Julian Assange Rape Investigation

Sweden’s Director of Public Prosecution, Ms Marianne Ny, has today decided to discontinue the investigation regarding suspected rape (lesser degree) by Julian Assange.

Swedish prosecutors are to drop a preliminary investigation into an allegation of rape against the WikiLeaks founder bringing to an end a seven-year legal standoff.

Assange reacted to the news by tweeting a photo of himself smiling inside the Ecuadorian Embassy where he has been living for almost five years.

Sweden finally came to her senses. What a relief!

What a shame on Sweden these fake charges against Assange have been. At the behest of corrupt UK & USA.

Through this scam to arrest Assange, you proved to the whole world Sweden is not as clean, impartial or Just as thought for decades by peace loving people around the world.

Sweden tried to drag Assange in via UK and hand over to torture chambers in the US for life. Shame! Shame! Shame! You stole 7 years from his life.

You could have done much better than playing the obedient American lapdog Sweden.

After all, you are Sweden! Be Sweden, dear Sweden!

You stood up against Apartheid. You recognized Palestine as a state before all others. You showed by example to western hypocrites how to show humanity to helpless Syrian refugees. You have balls of steel. You occupy the moral high ground in the eyes of the people of the world.

Please continue to be Sweden. We, the world needs true Sweden.

    Cheers!

      Thank you Ben.

All those who are in full support human rights and democracy around the world will utter a loud Hurrah! in support for Julian Assange.
It is a shame for Sweden to have kept it’s knees blended all these years just to oblige the US & and it’s side kick UK.
It will nor be of interest to see how Trump is going to react as Sweden had realised the folly of maintaning trumped up charges on an innocent person as Assange.

It all worked out well for Assange and Snowden. Sinhalese asylum seekers who helped Snowden has been denied asylum in Hong Kong. These Sinhala asylum seekers claimed Sri Lankan Police traveled to Hong Kong looking for them.

The whole saga was a disgrace. Sweden, like UK, acted like a client state of the US, which it is.

**** The three culprits US, UK and Sweden owe Assange a public apology.
They cannot compensate the personal damage they did to him……

    **** Human rights! What a joke!…..

**** It is a case of justice long delayed.

One of the women who alleged rape by Assange claimed she was fast asleep when it happened. That, in my mind, made it clear that Assange was being framed. I showed the news article reporting this to my ethics class at Michigan State University while covering whistle blowing. Almost everyone laughed. I was not alone in thinking that a woman could not be asleep while being raped.
