The report released today says; “The human rights situation in Sri Lanka in 2012 remained of serious concern, with a number of negative developments, including with regard to freedom of expression and media and judicial independence. Further progress was made on reintegration of ex-combatants and resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs). There continued to be reports of further abductions and disappearances, although the number reduced from spring 2012 onwards compared to 2011 levels. There were a number of reported instances of intimidation of human rights defenders, including those attending the March Human Rights Council (HRC), members of the legal profession and the media.”

The Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium (TRAC) USA responded to allegations by the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) belittling its classification as a terrorist group yesterday.
TRAC Editorial Director, Veryan Khan told Ceylon Today the organization had assessed the BBS statements and the extreme levels of religious intolerance evident in several videos. She said TRAC had analyzed BBS members’ actions of involving in acts of violence against churches, mosques and shops selling Halal food. Those were sufficient indicators for profiling the BBS, Khan said.
Responding to a question on why TRAC had also classified political groups such as the UNP, JVP and UPFA as alleged terrorist organisations, she said that the classification of groups by TRAC was not a legal process nor set by any legal criteria. “An ordinary viewer of the website would only be capable of viewing 10% of the material published by TRAC. Only TRAC subscribers were enabled to obtain the full details,” Khan said.
“TRAC never deletes groups that have been identified as a potential threat,” she further said.
But Khan claimed that TRAC had always acknowledged when a historically violent group had ceased to be violent or had become a legitimate political party.
She added that TRAC never intended to designate groups as terrorists, but rather only to report on the activities of groups identified as a threat.

This is what British police said about anti-Muslim attacks in the UK: Anti-Muslim attacks were nearly doubled in England last year. But Cameron government haven’t brought any changes in their policies.
Fiyaz Mughal, director of Faith Matters says anti-Muslim online hate as well as offline hate has increased in the UK significantly. Anti-Muslim attacks come in the form of insults and graffiti. A pig was thrown over the fence to a mosque in north London. Many others have been vandalized.
British newspapers support hate mongers with background noise. They reported, They reported a sharp increase in the Muslim population in Britain. Aim was to incite the vandals.
As Muslims, we have our own practices, we have our own needs, we have our own reasoning. Its good that Hague and Cameron understand it and put pressure on Sri Lanka government to behave. But British government and police must do a hell of a lot more at their home front.
British must understand that Muslims cannot fully integrate into British society. But we welcome British to become Muslim.

I am sure it has not escaped your attention that Britain has taken part in attempts to protect Muslims, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, etc by bombing them to smithereens. They have also orchestrated events in Syria, in cahoots with other Muslim countries, Turkey Saudi Arabia and Qatar in particular.

Britian is very tolerant of Muslims. Muslims are allowed to keep their culture while Muslims nations do not allow immigration by non Muslims and officially or unofficially make sure minorities understand they are 2nd class citizens who must accept the primacy and dominance of Islam.

Figures like that are very disengenous because it implies Mosques are being razed or Muslims are not free . Reality is Muslims are free to practice their faith, to convert, to build mosques and to expand their communities. Attacks overwhelming are insignificant vandalism . If one was to be as disengenous as those parroting these worthless stats then I too could say that there is video evidence that Muslims have been putting up posters and verbally abusing non Muslims in certain areas of Britain demanding they follow Muslim laws.
Some schools in England have been infiltrated by Muslims who then proceeded to impose Islamist chauvinism and persecute non Muslims.
