UK Will Lead On Resolution For Sri Lanka, South Sudan And Syria At UNHRC Session

The United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations In Geneva confirmed that it will lead on resolutions for Sri Lanka, South Sudan and Syria at the next session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The statement issued by the UK mission to the UN in Geneva is as follows,

“The Core Group on Sri Lanka, comprising Canada, Germany, Macedonia, Montenegro and the UK will present a resolution on promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka. The Core Group will again be working in partnership with Sri Lanka and look to continue the cooperation which began in 2015 and maintain engagement with the Council as Sri Lanka works towards the implementation of the commitments in HRC resolution 30/1.

The draft text will be procedural in nature and seek to extend further the process established by the HRC in 2015. We will hold open informal negotiations in line with standard Council practice and hope to have the full support of the Council for the resolution once again.

Secondly, a core group of countries intends to again table a resolution to renew the mandate of the Commission of Human Rights on South Sudan. We look forward to continuing to work with the Government of South Sudan and all interested partners.

Thirdly, the core group on Syria, comprising France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, the Netherlands, Qatar, Turkey and the United Kingdom will present a further resolution on the human rights situation in Syria. The resolution will address the extremely serious human rights situation in Syria and renew the mandate of the Council’s Commission of Inquiry. We hope to have the support of many Council members.

Finally, on initiatives we would like to mention one joint statement. Following our successful side event last week on access to justice for children and young people, the rule of law core group comprising Ethiopia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco and the UK, we will be running a joint statement under item 8 on the same topic. We will circulate a draft well in advance and hope to have the support of many delegations.

We would also like to announce one side event which we are co-organising with a number of NGOs. On 7 March at 1pm we will hold the Geneva launch of a new film entitled ‘The Long Haul’ – a film inspired by the late Professor Sir Nigel Rodley.

Sir Nigel was one of the founders of the modern human rights system: a Chair of the Human Rights Committee and Special Rapporteur on Torture, as well as the founder of the Human Rights Centre at Essex University. We hope to see many of you there. The event will be at 1pm in the UN Cinema, room 14.”

but the UN will grind finally. They go according to rules.

Do you know what happened to Ex-Yugoslavia, Ruwanda, Liberia leaders at ICC?
One butcher committed suicide in front of ICC judges others are rotting in prisons.
Muderpakses turn will come one day, please wait.
      Cheers

You know in all these cases there were proper evidences and proper accusations. In SL, even the content of the UN report shows they have no evidences to back up what they say. Even Zooka is still looking for evidences. The USA war manual itself is enough for Sri Lanka. What Sri Lanka needs is only one thing, a patriotic, logical government that honestly take action on this issue.

    “Let us switch to Mahayana.”

Whether you switch to Mahayana or remain in Theravada does not make much difference. In some southern villages, the ranavirus have been demanding the right to have sex any time, any place with any woman whom their willi choses.

Don’t forget those who in the photo were victims, or conquered people by an army which believed and still it does that the conquering men has the right to violate in anyway they see fit, irrespective of men or women.

The president believes none of the ranavirus can be charged of any criminal activities, because they fought the war and won it and made supreme sacrifices. Therefore they cannot be charged even if they raped his daughter, granddaughters, wife, sisters, mother, mother in laws, son, nephews, nieces, aunts, …………………

What a perverted sense of justice.

The poor soldier who was groping the girl probably was one of the many in the army who never enjoyed consensual sex, perhaps due to their ugly behaviour.

The Human Rights Endgame in Sri Lanka is US military bases in Trincomalle and BIA– to fight Trumpland’s Cold War against China.
Otherwise, Trumpland should have arrested and tried US citizen Gota Rajapaksa for Command Responsibility for War Crimes long ago!
Also, US citizen Gota has been militarizing and weaponizing Buddhism and working with BBS against Muslims. This is to distract everyone from Trumpland’s great game, ever since war ended and LTTE defeat in 2009..

      Native,
I wish nothing but justice, healing, and closure to victims of gruesome crimes in Sri Lanka’s blood-soaked recent history. Victims are Tamils, Sinhalese, Muslims, LTTE, SL Armed Forces, JVP, SLFP, UNP, CP, LSSP, Bystanders, Children, Civilians, and countless others. Even members of now infamous defeated Maha Raja’s SLP-PEE faction. UK’s on-going, interest for suffering in SL is highly dubious though. In the absence of such enthusiasm for massive brutality in other war-zones. Such as Iraq or occupied Palestine to name a couple. Where the UK itself plays the central role on or the very reason of terrible violence and killings. One could argue the UK’s plate is full of crimes committed by themselves to worry about SL. Funny how they find the time poke their nose everywhere else and patronize others all the time. Could it be that so-called legendary British hypocrisy? Could it be ulterior motives, like geopolitical games in the Indian ocean? Could it be interior motives like pandering to a sizable, very loud, obnoxious PEELAM vote bank in the UK? Why are they only focused on the last 3 months of a 30-year long bloody strife?

The monkey brain has not evolved to understand how these children in the photo and all your listed categories ended up in this state in the first place?????

The monkey brain is too busy with the monkey business ‘one rule for me and my child’ and other rule for someone else’s child. The same monkey brain had no shame in using our language ‘Tamil’ for its own monkey business and continue to do the same in the parliament today????

By now rest of the monkey brains would have asked the obvious question why I am electing the same monkey brains to represent me once more who were saved by the GOSL armed forces to be alive in the first place??? then you ask yourself the logical question why GOSL would allow such and outfit to speak for the Tamil people again in our country????? who single handedly responsible for the misadveture of our young minds?? used them to kill off all the leaders/opponents of the TULF in the first place?? very fishy correct??

Only when one get here then it Is all far too easy to figure out the rest now the money brain is no longer a ‘frog in a well’ any loner ?

        Ben Hurling

“Why are they only focused on the last 3 months of a 30-year long bloody strife?”

        Good question.
I am still scratching my head to find out the answer.
As you imply violence was not limited to 30 years, if you would like to jog your memory. I have stated the years numerous times, 1956, 1958, 1960, 1961, 1971, 1977, 1983, 1987 to 1991, ……………. and of course 30 years.

Why is it habitually convenient for you to forget all other incidents and history of violence except the violence of “obnoxious PEELAMITES”? Is it because “OTHERS” committed it? Perhaps it is because the Majoritarians agreed upon it?

If you don’t treat your family well, strangers will make use of the opportunity to grope your women folks. Please stop complaining about the entire world and start treating your family well. Stop blaming your colonial masters and start looking into your inner self.
Bashing foreigners and “OTHERS” is another way of protecting one’s illgotton wealth, status, securing further promotions, securing impunity, …………

You should start facing bitter truth.
Remember those who massacred Sinhala speaking youth in 1971 and between 1987/1991, and committed war crimes between 2005 and 2015 are attempting to capture absolute power next year. It not just one person the entire clan.
What is in it for you?
        PRIDE?

I am often reminded of the book i read long time ago by Robert Ardle ( I think). Territorial Imperative. There must be a built in Code in the DNA for it to replicate itself and propagate it. It appears the DNA for justice and conscience is an aberration – a defect.

Today Ranil said in Kilinochchi to Forget and forgive. Mahinda’s Cronies said that in 2010. He wants the Tamil Votes. He has goodies to give or power to promise. The Present’s northern Governor trying for the same votes. Has no goodies yet. Rajapaksa is slow off the blocks but will soon do the same with promises. Tamil politicians and their handlers are working overtime to support their candidate for President. The circus has begun. Viggy and Gajen have no goodies. EPRLF and EPDP waiting for the trio from the South to offer Ministries. We have become a Durian Republic.

All religions, with no exception are against violence. PERIOD. Some of the comments here in the name of religion clearly reflects these individuals faith and practice. These are the “pseudos” going around spreading hatred and more violence. It is not worth dwelling on these stupid comments. Coming to Human rights and other organizations such as UN , were created on hindsight to maintain some form of order and functionality. It is true that some powerful nations are trying to exploit them, but still they try to do what is possible. Some of the comments here are not just ignorant but stupid. Just because a policeman or a judge raped, do not stop the public from going to the police or courts in seeking justice. So quoting other countries does not make your sins disappear. The fact that people are able to quote these countries it self shows the system is functional.Today we are aware of these incidents only because UK and US investigated these crimes and made it public ( not covering up like in Lanka). Where as in Lanka after 10 years , still the government is on fact finding mission and the President has already admitted to shielding, all criminals from inquiry.

    Dear All

No investigation is meaningful without the GOI/TN Government and the Training camps/TNA and all the governments who supported/facilitated the war because the LTTE did not fit into their planning.

FP/TULF/TNA need to be charged separately for misleading and sacrificing our children (Tamil Militants + GOSL Soldiers + general public of SL + opponents of the TULF) to this calamity in the first place.

Without the above the investigations into the final days of war has no meaning whatsoever except the entire country being smoked screened as to what happen to their children and their right to lead dignified life in their own country.

UN not inclusive of this scope in their investigations saying to the world is that in every country Tamils live they can do the same? asking why they have not started the same revolutions/killings/inviting violence to their brethren and destroy the respective countries they live in for every problems they face in life? why they are so understanding and tolerant and having a constructive way forward??

UN should work with the Tamil Global Forum and store up the same in every Nation and have them send their children to Training Camps in Tamil Nadu.

If this is good for Jaffna and should be good for all correct??…………..the same people who is responsible for the horror faced by these mother Lankan children on the photo now fighting for their human rights too.

The world is waiting for the global Tamil Forum to identify all the global Tamil children from Malaysia to South Africa spotted in any of the photos? any western Diaspora to Tamil Nadu children in any of the photos? no no no….as their life is far too valuable to be wasted like this correct?

    • 3

The UN investigation should be aimed at asking the FP/TULF/TNA to produce reports on all the Tamil killing on Tamils since 1970. Their stage speeches/threats/which act of violence they openly condoned etc. They should be asked to produce what they did to eradicate cast system in Tamil communities and their econiomical achievements as representative of the Tamil for the past 70 years.

How did their opponents die should be explained to the world.

Then we will discuss the so called Sinhala crime on Tamils. Let us get the sequencing correct from now onwards will never have a situation depicted on the photo where one lot of Mother Lankan children facing the other lot Mother Lankan children a TNA folly…an act they worked so hard to show it to the world………..a systamatic aggression to get their ghettos at any cost. we Tamil people never had anything to do with this National question lot. They say when you boil the frog alive the frog does not know until the it is so hot and the frog dies…..could have saved itself from jumping out go the pan but did not do so……

The GOSL can explain how they allowed this treason lot to run the show at gun point on Tamils for the past 70 years will explain all else to the world. Send this lot back to Tamil Nadu for the next phase of fighting in India please and not in our country and not in our name.

First of all, this “Core Group” on Sri Lanka should explain what right do they have to “PROMOTE reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka.”
Sri Lanka is a sovereign, independent country, not a colony or a territory governed by any of the countries in this self-proclaimed “Core Group on Sri Lanka.”
If reconciliation, accountability and human rights be PROMOTED, it has to be done by Sri Lanka herself not by self-proclaimed core groups.
Next, the Sri Lankan Cabinet of Ministers, Parliament or the President, separately or together have never given any approval to this self-proclaimed “Core Group on Sri Lanka” to work in partnership with our country. I challenge the Core Group to produce any document to that effect.
Further the Geneva Resolution 2015 tabled by the “then” Yahapalanaya government did not follow local procedures and laws.
First of all, the Resolution was entirely handled by the Prime Minister by himself who is not the Head of State.
As per the Constitution of Sri Lanka, the Geneva Resolution needed to be presented to the Cabinet first and then to Parliament and finally to the President for approval PRIOR to tabling it at the UNHRC. None of these procedures have been followed by the Prime Minister, thus the Geneva Resolution is illegal, unconstitutional and not legally binding.

The UK, which brutally massacred Sinhalese during their colonial period in Sri Lanka, leading a Resolution to PROMOTE human rights in our country, is the BIGGEST HYPOCRISY.
The former colonial empire invaded our country in 1803, seeing to and end of a great Sinhalese civilization and monarchic rule.
From 1803-1948, British Governors ruthlessly massacred Sinhalese who rioted against looting, killings and unfair taxes.
For eg: On Governor Robert Brownrigg’s direct orders (1813-1820) who was titled as the “Butcher of Wellassa,” the British Army slaughtered men, women and even suckling babies in mother’s breasts. Then they burnt all rice-fields in Uva-Wellassa which was known as the “Granary of the Kingdom of Kandy”, causing famine and starvation.
When the British finally left in 1948 after 145 years, offering us part-independence, they took a fleet of over 100 ships full of our gems, pearls, gold, silver, antiques, bronze statues, artifacts, textiles, paintings, ancient ola leafed books, grains, coins and many more precious items.
They didn’t grant us independence in 1948, but in 1972, after keeping us another 24 years as the Dominion of Ceylon.
If we talk about modern era, the same United Kingdom was the home to British terrorist Anton Balasingham, the Theoretician of the LTTE, and his wife Adela, who promoted child soldiers. British LTTE diaspora openly collected funds and engaged in drug and human smuggling during LTTE’s 34 year terror era.
The British government is fully responsible for all war crimes planned in UK by British terrorist, Anton Balasingham, which were executed in Sri Lanka by Prabhakaran.
Until today, the UK is a haven for LTTE terrorists who committed crimes against humanity in Sri Lanka, same as the British, during their colonial period.
We shouldn’t be surprised of the partnership between war criminals, as “Birds of a feather, flock together.”

              Hi readers.

Here below the 2 discoveries during the month of February 2019 of CHOMPA from London shanty

1- The sea moved away for Sinhala king to go and attack South India.

( Comic book Mahavamsa was written in Pali later translated in Sinhala once it developed the alphabet so lots of omissions and additions and imaginations )

              2. The photo in this news is about Rohingya in Myanmar.

( This photo was sold for money by SL carboard Sinhala army guy )

He He He Sinhalese are really intelligent except cardboard army.

His/Her carrot brain is really intelligent.

              Cheers

                Cholan
                Hi readers.
The above comment by Cholan is a lament of a stateless man who has no history or footing and whose boss was washed away in a lagoon.
I have lot of sympathy for people who cannot stand our ancient Sinhalese history.
He has forgotten that the particular section he extracted from one of my comments was actually mentioned in a Research Paper compiled by two Professors of the Calcutta University. I have given references which I always do.
This photo has no source. “Sold for money’ is not an accepted way to confirm the source. Why didn’t you take any action to prove the identity of boys? Go ahead and do it.
During the war, there was no evidence that there were youth among the crowd. People have seen videos of civilians moving from one place to another a number of times. The most distinct feature was the absence of youth. The crowed was always comprised of some little ones or largely older men and women.

              • 3

” Why did your heros hide behind women and children?”

For the same reason as to why your zeroes were using women, children and the old, during IPKF occupation.

What did LTTE do to suicide women cadre? They all were drugged, didn’t they? Even other LTTE cadre were drugged before sending them to slaughter people in border villagers, in cold blood.
Dr. Gnana Sankaralingama said LTTE raped girls.
I repeat, Prabhakaran first took arms against Vellalla Tamils to show his hatred towards caste system in the North. Almost all Tamil leaders he killed had Vellala ancestry. Give me one reason why he was so selective in killing his own race?
I didn’t run away to London. I was in Sri Lanka during LTTE terror era.
I am sure you are talking about yourself, but don’t have a backbone to admit it.

Do you know many Sinhala army guys came to Europe as refugees with photos and made good money.?

Already international experts have proved the authenticity of this photo …this is just one there are hundteds.

We have no problem if you believe that your ancient grand father was a Lion.

Even Indian Generals admitted the discipline of LTT E
They have not touch a Single Sinhalese girl ..even when they were at their peak.

You have a history he he your criminal kallathoni
Vijaya landed here with 700 rowdy friends that’s how comic book Mahavamsa boast and Modayas believed.

You all came from today’s South India your DNA will match with Kerala folks once Tamil Sera Kingdom .

Dont make readers laugh about your Rohingya story and Mahavamsa comics.

You must meet a good Psychiatrist ask your sisters in Dubai they will pay for you.

Ha haha you negate your own argument, Machang..
If army guys have given you photos, how come they receive refugee status and good money instead of prison sentences?
Besides, if confessions of hardcore LTTE terrorists in prison were not accepted as self-made, how could these photos are accepted as authentic????
You don’t need international experts to prove the authenticity of the photos. Tell the parents of these youth to come forward and prove that they are their children.
These photos were appeared in media several times. Why nobody identified any of them?
It was Tamil Dr. Gnana Sankaralingam who said LTTE raped girls. This matter was discussed before and I told you to confront him.
Your Sun god is a bloody coward who hid behind drugged suicide women and innocent child soldiers.
                  .
My ancient grandfather was a Yakkha King, not a lion.
I am a proud descendant of Yakkha, not Vijaya Hora’s. In fact, 99% of Sinhalese have Yakkha blood.
Lion was Vijaya Hora’s grandfather, not ours, and the adults only part which is common in Indian ancient art was added to Mahawamsa due to Indian influence.
Mahawamsa has skipped about 5000 years from our original history and started from the middle, where the writer was failed to mention about the history of Yakkha.
The origin of Sinhalese didn’t begin with Vijaya Hora whose descendants were called “Vankars” (Vanga – Bengali people) as mentioned in your own “Mattakalappu Manmiyam.”
Your own Tamil history book further says, Sinhalese Yakkha people, who were the majority, were called “Cinkars.”
In addition to that, there had been “Kalinkars,” who were brought by Kalinga Magha when he invaded Lanka.
After the collapse of Polonnaruwa Kingdom, Sinhalese Yakkha people have migrated to South, which is, even today, regarded as the home to real Sinhalese Patriots!

    Champawati,

” First of all, this “Core Group” on Sri Lanka should explain what right do they have to “PROMOTE reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka.”

You probably don’t have ability to parse and understand the English language sentences; leave aside the legal implications behind them. Could you show me where the core group or Britain is claiming in their statement that they have any special rights that Lankawe does not have in UNHRC? Why do you assume something they did not say? Do you know in what resolution Lankawe did oppose in UNHRC those were passed against Israel, proposing your logic? Is that your logic that you want to control Israel through UN but other should stay away from you because you only have the sovereignty in UN? Where your logic did went when the War Criminal Old King was smuggling files of documents to UNHRC and was caught red-handed at the Airport? Why, Tilak, after taking over FAM, insisted of quitting from UNHRC, but still waiting?
There is a famous sentence quoted from the world’s best Drama, Shakuntala. King Thusyanthan was presented with Shakuntala by the sage’s disciples saying King had taken her in the jungle so he needs to marry her. King asked for any evidence it was he who slept with her. The foster mother said “the proof was lost in the lake”. King replied that if anybody is not aware of how the cuckoo is bringing up its chicks by laying its eggs in the crow’s nest. A very meaningful quote for Shakuntala’s wasted situation. We understand why you have to save your Shakuntala with frauds and false talks.

You read their statement first and try to understand.
      Read this.
Quote: “The Core Group will again be working in partnership with Sri Lanka and look to continue the cooperation which began in 2015…..” Unquote.
What does that mean? I used the word “self-proclaimed” because they say that they are working in partnership with Sri Lanka. Who gave them the right to work in partnership with Sri Lanka? Supporting Ranil’s treacherous Geneva Resolution – 2015 is one thing and “working in partnership with Sri Lanka to promote blah blah blah” is another thing. Nobody gave them the right to working in partnership with Sri Lanka.

        Champawati,

That is real rabish; you insincere person, polluting and fooling around in all topics.

First you asked where UK(or the core group) got is authority to bring a resolution in UNHRC. Then saying “Supporting Ranil’s treacherous Geneva Resolution”. Shame on you.
Britain has the authority to disciple Lanakwe using UNSC. Britain should use it. Hang them all high at ICC! Period!

I have already replied to your comment about the core group.
Britain has no authority to disciple anybody. Their Army was accused of war crimes committed in Iraq. They have authority to hang their own war criminals and British LTTE war criminals.
          Who is insincere here?

UK must mind their own business closer to their Brexit issues and on the CHILLCOT Report.

This UNHRC Circus will run until Sri Lanka surrenders Trincomalee base into the hands of the Americans along with the Oil Tank Farm.

I do not believe the UNHRC or the western human rights chorus that talks of human rights on one hand and at the same time engaging with SL military on the other will deliver anything meaningful to the Tamils, the victims of genocide. Human rights may just be used as a tool to further western interests as others point out. But what an irony! The Sinhalese denied the sovereignty of Tamils and in turn they have compromised on their own sovereignty – handing over the south to china, east to US, north west and north of the island to India. Sinhalese kept themselves silent when the state unleashed its violence on the Tamils but how long do you think it will take the same state to turn its machinery against them? They are trapped in the mess they have created. We, the Tamil people, just have to sit back and enjoy.

Violatiing human rights is a crime. Nationalism is not.

      3

      Dear. Vanguard

On its own your statement is a very fair statement. With regard to FP/TULF/TNA is a crime committed by them on Tamil and Sinhala people.

If that Nationalism obtained mandate at gun point is a crime?? under the pretext of nationalism our human rights have been ridiculed/lost forever is a violation of human rights??under the pretext of seeking solutions to the problems we have created and compounded it for the past 70 years and let the children of Mother Lanka is not Nationalism but is a crime against humanity. Then to sell the Nation to foreign countries to save our narratives is the worse form crime……treachery/treason and is not Nationalism?? what we have experienced is a ‘Foreign States(s) sponsored Terrorism in a developing country using all the internal issues as an excuse to intervene……..the TULF sold our children as mercenaries to do all the dirty work for them and for the Foreign Nations trained them and armed them at such an innocent age is child molesting too. Crime against humanity…………try to offer the same foreign countries Nationalism the same solutions and see how they respond pls.

Under Nationalism people can discuss what language to use as a National language, Under Nationalism the Low caste Tamils have the right to ask to be inline with the known human dignity status we the upper class Tamils had a duty to respond several 100 years ago, Under Nationalism the Sinhala speaking people have the right to education in a language they can understand and opportunities in the private and public services too, the oppressed Tamils have the same educational needs too, the Indian tamils had the same right too. Under Nationalism the well to do Tamil and Sinhala elite had the duty to share/give away most of the perks that took it for granted under the colonial masters too, Under nationalism the country have the right to shape a new future with the understanding that we all equal and earn our citizenship status as suppose to demand the historical status retained? the leaders can think out of the box which they did and when FP objected they did correct some mistakes and our Hon SWRD died doing that too. The JVP is all about the same needs that SWRD represented then boiled over later no one cared then the GOSL did put the revolt down we know how…..then the FP/TULF created a monster out off thin air did the rest of the killings the GOSL did the same eventually. Have we learned the lessons?????? because Nationalism suppose to teach us how to be the learners too.

The caste system is ripe today is it was few hundred years ago?????? then we have neighbours who have breeding program no one can sustain?? other countries developed because they did not spent time on saving a language but invested in people……how many Sri Lankan Tamils who are refugees in India were given Indian PR/Citizenship????

    Dear CT editor,
Please make sure this abstract from a book by my childhood teacher ‘Ven. Narada’, specially for the people who are not educated by true scholars of the ‘Thathagatha’s’ teachings. I dedicate this offering specially to my friend ‘Champa’ with great compassion.

    Sn 1.6 PTS: Sn 91-115

    Parabhava Sutta: Downfall

    translated from the Pali by
    Narada Thera
    © 1997

    Alternate translation: Piyadassi

Translator’s note: While the Mangala Sutta deals with the way of life conducive to progress and happiness, the Parabhava Sutta supplements it by pointing out the causes of downfall. He who allows himself to become tarnished by these blemishes of conduct blocks his own road to worldly, moral and spiritual progress and lowers all that is truly noble and human in man. But he who is heedful of these dangers keeps open the road to all those thirty-eight blessings of which human nature is capable.

Thus have I heard. Once the Exalted One was dwelling at Anathapindika’s monastery, in the Jeta Grove, near Savatthi.

Now when the night was far spent a certain deity whose surpassing splendor illuminated the entire Jeta Grove, came to the presence of the Exalted One and, drawing near, respectfully saluted Him and stood at one side. Standing thus, he addressed the Exalted One in verse:

    The Deity:
Having come here with our questions to the Exalted One, we ask thee, O Gotama, about man’s decline. Pray, tell us the cause of downfall!

    The Buddha:

Easily known is the progressive one, easily known he who declines. He who loves Dhamma progresses; he who is averse to it, declines.

    The Deity:
Thus much do we see: this is the first cause of one’s downfall. Pray, tell us the second cause.

Do not worry, nothing will come of all this posturing. The US has great interest in Sri Lanka and all these resolutions will come to nothing. See https://smallwarsjournal.com/jrnl/art/us-naval-basing-in-sri-lanka

yes, you are right. elections around the corner in lanka, so you can expect more time buying exercise at the UNHRC session and the tamil party(tna)will agree to it. i think tamils are aware of this. but don’t worry, things won’t always remain the same as long as there are people who don’t give up on justice.

” The US has great interest in Sri Lanka and all these resolutions will come to nothing.”

      Agree.
However, if that is the case why have you been lifting your bum up and down every time you hear UNHRC?
By the way could you summarise what sort of interest US has in this island?
I believe you haven’t forgotten LTTE days.

The Core Group was also the core cause of the war and massacre of innocent people. Some of the comments in CT blame the publication of the PHOTO which was only a BBQ party of Tamil Terrorists. At least the Sri Lankan Govt. and IC view the massacre and the crimes as a passtime war game.

The Core Group is again busy claiming stakes of war spoils and try to sweep the whole matter under the carpet. ALL paksas and silly senas responsible for all war crimes can rest assured to retire in peace with Butterflies.

No resolution against KSA+USA for bombing Yemen? It has been 10 years since killings and suffering has stopped in this country but Sri Lanka is an urgent case more than Yemen where daily people are killed by KSA/American bombs?

In 2015 the US a*se hole sniffers Mangala and Ranil brought an anti Lankan resolution being the first ever country to sponsor a resolution against itself. The west thought all is done and Norway congratulated itself for its behind the scene actions while LTTE rump overseas was happy they could achieve something. The reality is the gov co sponsored it without informing the cabinet, president and the people in this country. So gov practically made a promise which it cannot deliver.

So stomach it UK, only weak Ranil led SL governments will take you seriously, the moment they lose you are back to the same place where David Miliband was slipper ed by Rajapaksas.

      sachooooooooooooooooo the super stupid

You need to know a few things. Listen carefully listen good.
First of all pull your head from wherever it is now. You should tell HLD M to sit elsewhere.

There have been about 50 Truth and Reconciliation Commissions investigated into various human right violations.

Stop beating your breast and tell your Ranavirus to face truth.

LTTE killed 600+ SL policemen who surrendered to them on Premadasa’s orders. I guess these Tamil terrorist supporters were crying then? Ah? Did you? You threw money at them right? You gave them more and more support………….

Now tell me terrorist supporters what should we do to LTTE terrorists? I am extremely happy we could get revenge for murder of policemen by killing LTTE surrenders. Was it brutal? LOL …We made Karuna who killed policemen into our servant and gave you the same suffering…So terrorist supporters who celebrated when LTTE killed 600+ surrendered policemen can continue their celebration looking at this….

So Tamil terrorists, take a GOOD look at the picture, and remember the 600+ surrendered policemen who were butchered by the LTTE and how you celebrated it and how you gave more money asking for more blood…

I just cant understand why Modays panicked when when they hear war crime inquiry..

Pity Buddhist Ban Ki Moon is no more as well as his poodle Malayali Vijay Nambiar. He should be brought to ICC this fellow is still carry Diplomatic passport to escape prosecution.

    Modaya government is isolated
Now this so called Buddhist cursed country is world famous for Drugs and Prostitution..
Thai…Afghan..Kazak..Uzbek babies are available at Colombo hotels and even Chinese are running brothels.

We are not ready to share power with Tamils who are the ancient dwellers here but we modays already sold the country to Chinese.

In South lots of babies are being born with Chinese face.

Once Port City is completed Chinese will rule and any Ape Anduwa shout will meet by bullets.

    Cheers

Sach, it is indeed a terrible crime on the part of LTTE and they deserve all possible punishment. They were inhumane no doubt. But Sinhalese equally ruthless and that is why there was this LTTE menace. But what i cannot understand is the killer who led this massacre is Lt Col Karuna Amman aka Hon Kohilawardena and he is still a pet boy of Gotta and MR? Why they didnt hang the goon?

Why government reluctant for an independent inquiry? because it will let the cat of the bag on both sides. I agree LTTE was not a holly cow though it came into the scene owing to Sinhala violence against Tamils over and over again.

This is why we call it Kuveni’s Curse.

Military killing of these innocent kids is nothing but war crime. And why on earth they have to make them naked? But we cannot expect from not only SL military but even from the marauding civilian mobs that have robbed, attacked, raped ,killed and burnt innocent civilians from 1956.

And LTTE leadership morons should have known that surrendering is a worse form of dying instead of biting cyanide capsule. They forced the poor boys and girls to bite cyanide and resort to human bombs but did not have the guts to bite cyanide themselves. For that alone they deserve punishment. In a most ruthless war like that how can LTTE expect any humane behaviour from SL army? They do worse things to their own youth in 73 and 88 period.

This shows the stubborn, unrealistic policy of the LTTE leadership, their lack of reality, geo-political reality and logic and of course surrounded by a few yes men. It is a big blunder and LTTE missed plenty of opportunities to have a midway settlement and that alone shows they are not matured to ran a state similar to how the Sinhalese are struggling now.

The full photograph shows that the big ditch was dug by a machine to the water table. The naked prisoners with their hand tied to their back have their feet in the water. Obviously the ditch is near a body of water.
Were the prisoners shot and buried or were they burried alive? The prisoners whereabouts are not known. If they are alive they should be produced before a court of inquiry. The person who took the picture in this article and the person who took the video clips of execution of naked, blind folded prisonerd with hand tied behind their back can bear witness if their is a court of inquiry.
The longer the leaders of the three major parties drag their feet to prevent inquiry the less the chances of restoring peace in sri lanka.
