Police curfew imposed in the Grandpass area until 7 am tomorrow after two groups clashed in the area following an attack on a Muslim prayer centre in the area.
Armed forces have been deployed in Grandpass after a well known masjid or Muslim prayer centre in the area was attacked this evening.

The Associated Press reported on Saturday, Aug 10 that “trouble erupted on Friday in Kishtwar, a town 200 kilometres (125 miles) southeast of Srinagar when Hindus objected to Muslims shouting pro-independence slogans during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which caps the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.. The trouble erupted Friday”
Another report said an armed mob of 20,000 Muslims marched toward Hindus & attacked them. Many Hindus were severely injured & some are critical. While this was happening, a bigger mob attacked & burnt shops & houses owned by Hindus. Serious arson, looting & murders went on for a long time, until the morning. Police came but they were of no use. Many Hindu youth are in hospitals with bullet injuries in their arms & abdomen. In the afternoon, the Government sent the army and the curfew is being strictly enforced.
And here in Sri Lanka, Muslims are hard at work to become the majority. Just imagine the consequences.

It is rather apparent the reference to “satin” in Christianity and reference to “mara” in Buddhism must be referred to the same, that is Islam and its God Allah. The American Approach is better, but is in macro level. Mass scale Muslim depression. While America treats the would cancer like that, small nations like Myanmar or Sri Lanka need to act in a grass root level to get rid form the world cancer.
Sri Lankans, if they need to be safe, have to think about Something like in Myanmar, before it is too late. I think Sri Lankan Buddhist are ( or they used to be ) too good and too innocent. I think laws must be formed to control proliferation of places of worship in Sri Lanka including mosques, temples, kovils, churches etc. A minimum land area should be set at four acres in urban areas and 12 acres in remote areas to build such a place of worship. Otherwise, people are converting small buildings and even roadsides to construct mosques and temples. This causes much inconvenience to other people.
All the small places of worship should be closed down including those new roadside structures in the north. If we allow, Muslims will open a mosque in every street and Buddhists will open a temple under every lamppost. This nuisance should be stopped immediately through strict laws by setting minimum standards.
Religion has become a lucrative profession and a mean of living for many politicians. The religion based political parties also should be dissolved to build a decent Sri Lanka.
