Wasim Thajudeen: Ex Colombo JMO Ananda Samarasekera Granted Bail

The Colombo Magistrate Court today released former Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) Ananda Samarasekera on bail hours after he surrendered over the murder case of ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen.

Ananda Samarasekera

Last year, Health Ministry Secretary Anura Jayawickrema in a report submitted to the Colombo Additional Magistrate said that the ex-JMO was responsible for the missing body parts of Thajudee. Jayawickrema said that Samarasekera had acted in an irresponsible manner when conducting the first postmortem, in which Samarasekera ruled Thajudeen’s death was due to an accident. The ex-JMO had claimed that he had handed over the body parts to two minor staff to store in a freezer but both staff members had denied this.

Early this year, the Colombo High Court released Former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake and Former Narahenpita Crimes OIC Sumith Perera on bail although they were accused of concealing evidence in the murder of Thajudeen.

Thajudeen, a Sri Lankan ruggerite and former Havelock SC captain, was killed in Colombo in May 2012 in what appeared to be an accident, but it was later ruled as a murder, with the accident staged. Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa’s sons, Namal and Yoshitha have been accused of the murder.

What a law system – even if this particular JMO is believed to be one who has even let BODY parts of the murdered be frozen in SAITM – not respecting leasst to the dead – is finally called for investigaiton but him to be go scot free is beyond all my pains.

I am born into srilanken buddhism. But as many in the country today, I am no pro violence mentality.

I hate to see the masses today have been drawn to all unethical and moral ends. That shows the MIRROR IMAGE of the society.

Let this nation be stood by all POWERS to marginalize HIGH CRIMINALS.

Another Act of the Nadagama, Drama? When will this Nadagama, Drama Acts come to an end, punish those guilty, release those innocent, so that we all can go home and sleep, and the victims family can rest?
Wasim Thajudeen, is asking why is the delay?

Amarsiri is wondering, is this the way the Para-Law and Para-Justice is implemented in the Land of Native Veddah Aethho illegally occupied by the Paras, who came by Illegal Boats, Hora-Oru and Kalla-Thonis!

LAW IN SRILANKA IS NO MEANS FAIR TO ALL EQUALLY.

This country is ruined by ALL kind of indifferent Professionals. Even Ethiopians and Ganians do their jobs in COURTs better.

This country WILL never be become a hub in asia instead a paradise of HORAKAME JADAKAMA padada kama: for sure.

We all know who are behind this. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Cronies.

See what Rajitha Senaratna is saying.

Do not stop the BBS Alutgama meetingwas told to Anura Senanayaka, by Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and the Alutgama, OIC alo says.

So, to kill Thagudeen was told by Gotabaya Rajapaksa, by analogy. Why are they still dragging?

Is srilanka that poor to find out what kind of a professional this man has been over the years.

Not just restict to this murder case, he should also have collected complacencies in previous cases.

That way, the legal authorities can bring fair verdicts if they are ready to do some investigations by their own to find out the history of each JMOs in the country.

I wonder and I ask myself why the lanken law and order bodies waited that long to investigate the particular JMO.

Why the prevailing law and order systems react that way on the kind of men and ones just robbed few nuts of coconut to get arrested immediately.

This country has no real law and order to go vehementely against the high criminals.

If an older person becomes sick, we must check his medical history in order to see better therapies.
Likewise, if a criminal found in later age to have gone through what is not expected from him, should have a record of similar or even worst should have made in the past.
That is almost over 90% in many cases as I have analysed in some cases.
But lanken law bound authorities to just let this case treated with indifference is beyond my comphrehension.
Most of the cases in srilanka today and in the past have been investigated as they are not aware of the prevailing laws ?
      Why ?
Either they the law bound authorities should be fair or they should go home.

When would these judges and the panels be FAIR to the victimized families.

Thadujeen family should have been going all the torments being unable to digest all these.
If I were part of their family, I would have become permament sick.

I really dont know what the polticiians and law bound men have been doing here ?

They should serve the victimized with JUSTICE,
President, please use your EXECUTIVE powers in this case.

What we expect is the JUSTICE:

The above report says: “The ex JMO claimed that he handed over the body parts to two minor staff to store in a freezer…..”. The question is: If those two minor staff (they could be Somapala. Karupiah …) were arrested/surrendered , would they have been released on bail in such “Speedy” delivery of Justice? What an ACHIEVEMENT in the speedy delivery of Justice in Sri Lanka.

This JMO has flouted the Hippocratic Oath and should be denied the right to practice.
He has sold the honour of the profession for a mess of pottage.
    He belongs in jail.

    What a bloody farce!

As a schoolboy, I remember the ‘shorts’ before the main show.

The sad Thajudeen case is like that. All these red-herring, side shows.

The main culprits are out there still enjoying the buffet with cold beers. The way things are going they will escape their just desserts.

Unfortunately, no one can be sure exactly what happened. Maybe that is convenient for those guilty of murder. Either there was incompetence, and things were lost, or someone bribed a worker to get rid of the evidence. Both theories are possible in this country. It is a shame that those guilty of such a brutal murder of an innocent human being might get away because of their position in the country.

MR and the sons trying to come back and cover up the murder for a ball. all these murderers should get hanged with the mother, who gave the vehicle for the killing of thajudeen. This is one we got to know, what about the selling of the colombo property to the russian embassy by gota. killing the owner.

Samarasekera obviously had come prepared on clutches with the prime intention of hoodwinking the courts. He succeeded and got bail. If he was arrested and remanded he would still be in the Prison Hospital with the kelp of the prison doctors. Ohoma Yan. Ohoma Yan.

is it not time for the government to stop this bail nonsense
a law should be introduced immediately to prevent judges giving bail in all financial fraud cases over hundred million and in murder cases
this country has become a joke
must soon receivea guiness award for the number of persons out on bail

we have Kangaroo courts in SriLanka. If you have money justice is with you…..You can do a crime and ask for anticipatory bail if you have money to be distributed to Lawyers, Judges and Police.

Broadly the concept of ‘Freedom’ is understood to be the right of all individuls to be free from tyranny, which is enforced by constititutional checks and judicial balances.by the state.
But in this thrice blessed isle of the Lanka all those noble values are subject to a state that sees itself solely as a majority community representative when it comes to the protection of others who are in a minority. .
