Wasim Thajudeen Murder: Anura Senanayake Bail Application Rejected, Further Remanded

Former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake’s bail application was rejected today and he was further remanded until 23rd June, 2016 by the Colombo Magistrate, for concealing evidence over the murder of ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen.

Senanayake was arrested by the CID on May 23, for concealing evidence pertaining to the murder. He was questioned by the CID for several days before he was arrested.

Thajudeen, a Sri Lankan ruggerite and former Havelock SC captain, was killed in Colombo in May 2012.
