His most recent projects include the 20 foot high peacock made entirely of scrap metal (Manohansa\u2019s primary medium) and a his solo exhibition at the end of last year in the emerging art capital, Singapore.\u00a0 Manohansa is an artist who works entirely on his own, and while his assemblage has inspired many other young local sculptors, what sets him apart is his ability to capture movement and character in his works while manipulating the \u2018found\u2019 medium very little, if at all.<\/p>\n<p>In this, his fifth solo exhibition in Sri Lanka, Manohansa presents a series of works on paper. The Bull and the Ganesh are two subjects that the artist has worked on continuously since he began exhibiting his work. In addition the artist presents sketches of the human body, something entirely new for the artist. These large charcoal and pencil sketches are representative of the skill and freedom Manohansa expresses when he works on paper. His strokes are bold and strong; his subject is in various means of representation in a state of flux.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/sculpture-and-painting-prageeth-manohansaparadise-road-galleries\/prg\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-100471\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-100471\" title=\"PRG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/PRG.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"763\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/PRG.jpg 707w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/PRG-250x300.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This exhibition will be presented at Paradise Road Galleries from 16 August 2013 to 5 September 2013.
