{"id":108932,"date":"2013-10-06T00:41:03","date_gmt":"2013-10-05T19:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=108932"},"modified":"2013-10-10T16:25:52","modified_gmt":"2013-10-10T10:55:52","slug":"court-cancels-maithree-guneratnes-anti-ranil-march-from-matara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/court-cancels-maithree-guneratnes-anti-ranil-march-from-matara\/","title":{"rendered":"Court Cancels Maithree Guneratne&#8217;s Anti-Ranil March From Matara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Matara Additional Magistrate has ruled against the anti-Ranil protest march from Dondra to Colombo saying it was illegal based on a complaint made by the police.<\/p>\n<p>Violence erupted on the streets in the southern city last afternoon when the Sajith and Ranil factions clashed as the Maithree Guneratne led march took off from Dondra. At least seven people including a UNP Provincial Councillor was injured in gunfire when the protests turned unruly.
