After 2009 in Northern Province forced sterilization has implemented by the Ministry of Health Colombo. It is a part of continuous genocide. The facilities were obtained from WHO and UNICEF under the name of Family Planning.\u00a0 But now there are evidence that they have put contraceptive method for widows and mothers with their husband abroad and even pregnant <\/i>mothers. The fatal incidents have been highlighted by media, but Ministry of Health Northern Province made by invalid report. \u00a0If a contraceptive implant is inserted during pregnancy it can cause \u00a0thromboembolism and death. Due to the risk of thromboembolism associated with pregnancy and immediately following delivery, IMPLANON should not be used prior to 21 days postpartum. \u00a0Thromboembolism can cause pulmonary emboli (some fatal), deep vein \u00a0thrombosis, myocardial infarction, stroke and death.<\/p>\n

\"tamils-missing-3-630x350\"<\/a>Ministry of Health and National Family Planning Bureau (Family Health Bureau) are keen interested in reducing the Tamils growth rate. The local health authorities involve in this procedure are getting bribery by going abroad official tour including Thailand, Singapore Indonesia and Philippines for brothel as a reward. This is medically unethical.<\/p>\n

The annual health bulletin 2012 Serial No.1.21 says in Mullaithivu district IUD users 11284 Implants 4694. Almost all the fertile mothers are made contraception. It is ethnically wrong.<\/p>\n

In Killinochchi district 3921 mothers were done LRT. This was done by the military medical officers in the field. Even though VOG is appointed in the Kilinochchi Hospital with enough facilities. These massive procedures occurred under a hidden agenda by passing normal existing health system.<\/p>\n

Further in Kilinochchi district among 19129 fertile mothers 3921 were forced to do permanent sterilization. It means 20.49% fertile mother was made sterilize in a war tone village and this is a statistically significant index of genocide, where only 4.3% were ask to use condom.<\/p>\n

In Mullaithivu district among 14358 fertile mothers 11284 were put implant. It is 78.6% of fertile mother were made sterilize. It is also statistically significant index for genocide and obviously a marker for forced sterilisation<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the 2009, Northern Province Health Ministry, has recruited more than 500 PHMs without any basic science qualification. They have been trained only for to implement contraception methods in the community. These training were conducted with the help of\u00a0\u00a0 Ministry of Health , WHO and \u00a0\u00a0UNICEF under the name of family planning at RTC ( Regional Training Centre) Jaffna. Further, Primary Health care Centre and Maternity homes are established particulary for this purpose. We can see most of the Hospitals in Jaffna district under RDHS, PHMs are deployed to for field to implement contraceptive methods. Without doing deliveries in hospital we can notice the statistics of RDHS Jaffna, where most of the deliveries are done at Teaching Hospital Jaffna.<\/p>\n

The consultants who are expert in contraception, the VOGs are doing private practices without adequate facilities are afraid to discuss or comment about the unethical issues related to sterilization. If they do they can get feedback from maternal death inquires from Ministry of Health and their private practice also will be blocked by the health authorities. So therefore hardly anyone in the medical profession to voice against the genocide by forced sterilization.<\/p>\n

The resent forced sterilization done in Kilinochchi was initially exposed by TSA (The Social Architects) then the southern media The Sunday Leader highlighted it. It caused a little difficulty to Ministry of Health.\u00a0 But with their usual way they made an inquiry board and released a report and finished their job.<\/p>\n

Their report also is a perplex. Public health activity there should be monthly preplan. And it should be approved by MOH. But in this incident it was done so. All over the country in any MOH area there is no mission in normal work to go to particular area, all the PHMs. Only area PHM (Public Health Midwife) will do the job and refer the patients to medical institutions via MOH. This is not done so. Malnutrition prevalence is an Island wide Phenomena and the Ministry of Health North cannot say this is an intervention Phenomena for malnutrition.\u00a0 Psychological need should be handling in a proper way. Sterilization is not an immediate Meause.<\/b><\/p>\n

In Northern Province every village has a PHM or acting PHM. So the statement by the Ministry of Health \u00a0is false and fabricated to escape from the crime.<\/p>\n

The way they approach the mothers is \u2018Military in Nature\u2019 it is the uslal way of the government staff including health staff deal with public like military man in Vanni.<\/p>\n

There\u00a0 is now evidence, that\u00a0 PHM visit recently to the houses where contraceptic method implement to get procedure consent retrospectively.<\/p>\n

In health ministry report they did not mention about a maternal death occurred due to forced implant on a pregnant mother.<\/p>\n

It highlights the in adequate knowledge of PHMs and doctors involved in these procedures. Most of the doctors are not qualified in sri lanka studied in Russia or failed in sri Lanka medical professional examination.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
