Head of the BBC Sinhala Service, Priyath Liyanage<\/span><\/a> has been removed form the Sinahala Service Colombo Telegraph can reveal today.<\/p>\n

Dejan Radojevic from the South Asia Hub will be leading the Sinhala Service, a BBC spokesperson,\u00a0Paul Rasmussen<\/span><\/a>\u00a0told Colombo Telegraph today.<\/p>\n

The BBC probe into all aspects of its Sinhala Service\u2019s activities is still proceeding, Colombo Telegraph learns. The BBC Sinhala Service journalists are being asked by the BBC to participate in the ongoing investigation accompanied by lawyers or trade union representatives if they wish and some of them have already given evidence to the inquiry panel.<\/p>\n

BBC is yet to reply why he has been removed.<\/p>\n
