The \u201cConfidential\u201d cable was signed by the US Ambassador to\u00a0Colombo\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Jeffrey+J.+Lunstead&amp;x=10&amp;y=5\">Jeffrey J. Lunstead<\/a><\/span>\u00a0on January 12, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The US Embassy wrote; &#8220;As the Ambassador left, the PM commented again on his vacation reading.
