The 12 countries that voted against the Sri Lanka resolution<\/span><\/a> today in the UN Human Rights Council are \u201cnot free countries\u201d according to Freedom House and EIU Democracy Index.<\/p>\n

The first column in the table below shows the 9 out of 12 courtiers are classified as \u2018not free\u2019 by Freedom House<\/span><\/a>, and the other 3 countries are classified as ‘partly free’.\u00a0The other column shows the countries rank on the EIU Democracy Index<\/span><\/a>, the bottom entry is the average.<\/p>\n
