Prostitution and illegal drugs are contributing around \u00a310bn a year to the British economy, according to official data, UK newspapers reported.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

According to\u00a0the Telegraph<\/span><\/a>\u00a0report more than half of that – \u00a35.3bn – is attributable to prostitution, the\u00a0Office for National Statistics<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0(ONS) said on Thursday.\u00a0Illegal drugs and prostitution are worth the 0.7pc of GDP, which is the same proportion as agriculture, gambling and accommodation services, which includes hotels, bed and breakfasts and caravan parks.<\/p>\n
