However, the Police Spokesman\u2019s Office states that so far, the incident has not been reported to the Police.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_49176\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/rape-victim.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-49176\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-49176\" alt=\"File photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/rape-victim-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/rape-victim-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/rape-victim-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-49176\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">File photo<\/p><\/div>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/lankacnews.com\/sinhala\/news\/120884\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">LankaCNews<\/span><\/a> \u2013 a news website run by government Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Wimal+Weerawansa&amp;x=12&amp;y=4\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Wimal Weerawansa<\/span><\/a>, the woman had been walking along Kuda Kalli beach in Potuwil, Arugam Bay when she had been attacked and raped.
