{"id":129336,"date":"2014-08-23T22:24:56","date_gmt":"2014-08-23T16:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=129336"},"modified":"2014-09-06T00:20:31","modified_gmt":"2014-09-05T18:50:31","slug":"mahinda-rajapaksa-ranked-16th-worst-person-in-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/mahinda-rajapaksa-ranked-16th-worst-person-in-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahinda Rajapaksa Ranked 16th Worst Person In History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sri Lankan President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Mahinda+Rajapaksa&amp;x=12&amp;y=5\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mahinda Rajapaksa<\/span><\/a> has been ranked as the 16th worst person in history by a website that has compiled a list that includes 50 such notorious non-fictional personalities.<\/p>\n<p>Mahinda Rajapaksa has reached the 16th position obtaining a total of 7540 votes at the time of writing, while some 1688 votes had been cast against the position in the list that has been compiled by the \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ranker.com\/crowdranked-list\/the-all-time-worst-people-in-history?format=GRID&amp;page=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ranker<\/span><\/a>\u2019 website.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/MR-Rank.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-129337\" alt=\"MR Rank\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/MR-Rank.jpg\" width=\"525\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/MR-Rank.jpg 875w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/MR-Rank-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/MR-Rank-800x521.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/a>Noting the criteria used to select the personalities for the list, the Ranker states it is a collection of \u2018horrible, read (not fictional) people who have committed historical crimes.\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHistory judges them, and so do we,\u201d the website states.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Meanwhile, Mahinda&#8217;s baby brother and Sri Lanka&#8217;s Secretary to the Ministry of Defence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Gotabaya+Rajapaksa&amp;x=6&amp;y=7\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Gotabaya Rajapaksa<\/span><\/a> has been included in the same list and currently ranks as the 29th with a total of 1261 votes in cast in favour of the position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Among the 50 \u2018horrible\u2019 people are Joseph Stalin &#8211; ranking number one with 12572 votes &#8211; as well as several other sordid characters such as Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, Jeffrey Dahmer,Slobodan Milosevic and George Bush.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In short, the list is a compilation of most infamous mass-murderers, psychopathic serial killers, sociopathic religious leaders, dictators, deceptive political commentators etc. The list is open for voting &#8211; making it an accurate, real-time ranking of the \u2018world\u2019s worst people\u2019 and some 348, 406 votes had been cast for the list at the time of writing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":129337,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,1,6969,2375],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-129336","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-news","category-popular-stories","category-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
