He did not agree to our proposals, therefore we will not support him at the upcoming presidential polls,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, they also did not clearly state whether or not they would support the common candidate. Instead he stated that the JHU is open to working with any group that is ready to support their proposals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are having discussions with several opposition parties. We hope to receive a positive response to our proposals by the Common candidate,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile JHU member and Western provincial councilor Udaya Gammanpila told media that they are not interested in raising Ranil Wickremesinghe or Chandrika Kumaratunga into power.<\/p>\n<p>Colombo Telegraph revealed today\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/common-opposition-wants-cbk-to-reduce-her-role-in-maithri-movement\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">bout the issues<\/span><\/a> that have been raised by the JHU about CBK being \u2018actively involved\u2019 in the common opposition movement. They had expressed concern over the comments that had been made by her in Horagolla about exposing the Rajapaksas.
