He joined us only after he duly handed his resignation and informed his party members of the decision he made and the reasons behind it. That is gentlemanly behavior. . . Tissa is not the type of person who eats hoppers in the night and stabs you in the back the next day,\u201d he has stated.<\/p>\n<p>The President had also said that throughout history, the SLFP has continuously been betrayed and that all its General Secretaries except for four have left the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did say this party is a like a saloon door but once you join us, it\u2019s the end of the road.
