{"id":137501,"date":"2015-01-19T21:14:36","date_gmt":"2015-01-19T15:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=137501"},"modified":"2015-01-26T12:23:51","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T06:53:51","slug":"rajapaksas-war-exhibition-temporarily-halted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/rajapaksas-war-exhibition-temporarily-halted\/","title":{"rendered":"Rajapaksa\u2019s War Exhibition Temporarily Halted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The government today announced that it has made a decision to tentatively suspend holding the Deyata Kirula exhibitions that were held during the Rajapaksa regime wasting exorbitant amounts of public funds.<\/p>\n<p>But the government stated that despite halting the exhibition temporarily, the development activities out to be implemented subsequent to the exhibition will continue as planned minus the unnecessary costs.<\/p>\n<p>UNP and JVP slammed the government for proposing the Deyata Kirula exhibition during the previous years, stating it was wastage of Rs. 26.5 billion state funds.
