{"id":139853,"date":"2015-02-22T19:59:52","date_gmt":"2015-02-22T14:29:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=139853"},"modified":"2015-03-01T01:02:56","modified_gmt":"2015-02-28T19:32:56","slug":"yoshitha-wants-to-be-in-his-fathers-security-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/yoshitha-wants-to-be-in-his-fathers-security-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Yoshitha Wants To Be In His Father\u2019s Security Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rajapaksa \u2018prince\u2019 Yoshitha has made a request to be appointed as a member of the security team assigned to his father.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha-.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-139858\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha--150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Yoshitha\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha--150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha--50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>State Minister for Defence has stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Yoshitha+Rajapaksa&amp;x=5&amp;y=4\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Yoshitha Rajapaksa<\/span><\/a> has submitted a request to the Defence Ministry for him to be made part of the security team of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.<\/p>\n<p>However, he has taken three months leave of absence and an issue has raised on this matter by the JVP as an investigation is currently ongoing concerning his recruitment to the Navy and the scholarships that had been granted to him during the Rajapaska regime.<\/p>\n<p>Ruwan Wijewardene had told media that a probe is being conducted into Yoshitha in collaboration with the Navy Commander on how he was relieved of duty and on how and why he was granted leave of absence without even being subjected to the inquiry that is continuing against him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":139858,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,1,6969,2375],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-139853","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-news","category-popular-stories","category-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
