{"id":140065,"date":"2015-02-25T18:40:50","date_gmt":"2015-02-25T13:10:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=140065"},"modified":"2015-03-06T00:03:26","modified_gmt":"2015-03-05T18:33:26","slug":"yoshitha-given-permission-to-be-in-his-fathers-security-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/yoshitha-given-permission-to-be-in-his-fathers-security-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Yoshitha Given Permission To Be In His Father\u2019s Security Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sri Lanka Navy has granted approval for Rajapaksa \u2018prince\u2019 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Yoshitha+Rajapaksa&amp;x=7&amp;y=8\">Yoshitha Rajapaksa<\/a><\/span> to be a member of his father\u2019s security detail in response a request he submitted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha-.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-139858\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha--150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Yoshitha\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha--150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Yoshitha--50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Yoshitha is presently on three months leave of absence and an international investigation is ongoing into the procedure followed during his recruitment to the Navy and the scholarships that had been granted to him during the Rajapaksa regime.<\/p>\n<p>State Minister for Defence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/yoshitha-wants-to-be-in-his-fathers-security-team\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">told earlier this week<\/span><\/a> that Yoshitha has submitted a request to the Defense Ministry for him to be made part of the security team of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile the Minister also stated that a probe is being conducted into Yoshitha in collaboration with the Navy Commander on how he was relieved of duty and on how and why he was granted leave of absence without even being subjected to the inquiry that is continuing against him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":139858,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,1,6969,2375],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-140065","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-news","category-popular-stories","category-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
