The SLFP central committee meeting was held today under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Anura-Yapa-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-64486\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Anura-Yapa-3.jpg\" alt=\"Anura Yapa 3\" width=\"151\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>Party secretary Anura Yapa Priyadarshana Yapa told media that the President had assured the SLFP central committee that the 20th amendment to the constitution would be adopted as soon as possible and that Parliament would be dissolved thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation of 19th Amendment to the Constitution in Parliament had been postponed until April 27 followed by a vote on April 28.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":64486,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,1,2375],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-143283","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-news","category-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
