A protest against the brutal attack<\/a><\/span> on Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri, media spokesman and former President of the Federation of University Teachers’ Unions (FUTA), well-known social and political activist and a Co-Convenor of the Left Centre will be held at 3.00 pm on Thursday, 07 May in front of the Fort Railway Station.<\/p>\n

Dr. Nirmal<\/p><\/div>\n

Nirmal and another Co-Convenor of the Left Centre, Dr. Kumudu Kusum Kumara, were attacked by pro-Rajapaksa goons when they went to witness the pro-Rajapaksa May Day Rally.<\/p>\n

The protest is organized by civil society organizations.<\/p>\n
