style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Maithripala Sirisena<\/span><\/a> boasts regarding his published official stance that he is working towards ethnic and religious harmony, the main page slider of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.president.gov.lk\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the official website<\/span><\/a> of the President only carries four photographs of him posing with Buddhist monks giving more meaning that he himself supports Buddhist supremacy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Maithripala-web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-145852\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Maithripala-web-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Maithripala web\" width=\"100\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Maithripala-web-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Maithripala-web.jpg 274w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 100px) 100vw, 100px\" \/><\/a>Also the cover page of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/maithripalas?fref=ts\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">his official Facebook page<\/span><\/a>\u00a0highlights him posing in a photograph surrounded by a group of nine Buddhist Monks.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst talking about peace and reconciliation the President appears to be promoting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Sinhala+Buddhist&amp;x=9&amp;y=5\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sinhala Buddhist<\/span><\/a> supremacy through even his Facebook page where he is further pictured with Buddhist monks.<\/p>\n<p>What is startling even further is that the photograph containing him in the Presidential official web page carries a cropped version of the national flag where the\u00a0photograph of the symbol of the lion takes center stage cutting off all other ethnic groups.\u00a0The picture of the lion in the national flag of Sri Lanka carrying a sword represents the Sinhalese ethnicity and the bravery of the Sinhalese nation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/President.lk-Maithripala.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-145850\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/President.lk-Maithripala.jpg\" alt=\"President.lk Maithripala\" width=\"639\" height=\"368\"
