In response to President Maithripala Sirisena\u2019s yesterday’s letter<\/span><\/a> to Kurunegala district candidate Mahinda Rajapaksa, the former President said today that\u00a0he\u00a0completely rejected the baseless criticism contained in the letter which he claims were made from information received from a third party.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rajapaksa said he is pleased with President\u2019s comment that they would obtain a majority at the upcoming elections.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sending a short letter to Sirisena, Rajapaksa said he hopes President Maithripala Sirisena would respect the verdict of the people at the parliamentary elections in the same manner he respected the verdict on January 09 and left the Temple Trees by early morning.<\/span><\/p>\n
