{"id":157996,"date":"2016-02-23T13:17:59","date_gmt":"2016-02-23T07:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=157996"},"modified":"2016-02-23T13:20:11","modified_gmt":"2016-02-23T07:50:11","slug":"sicille-kotelawalas-bail-request-rejected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/sicille-kotelawalas-bail-request-rejected\/","title":{"rendered":"Sicille Kotelawala\u2019s Bail Request Rejected"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The bail application of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Sicille+Kotelawala&amp;x=10&amp;y=5\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sicille Kotelawala<\/span><\/a> was rejected by the Colombo High Court today, and she was further remanded till April 27, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/sicille-kotelawalas-bail-request-rejected\/sicille-kotelawala-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-157997\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-157997\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Sicille-Kotelawala1.jpg\" alt=\"Sicille Kotelawala\" width=\"639\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Sicille-Kotelawala1.jpg 516w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Sicille-Kotelawala1-300x190.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px\" \/><\/a>The wife of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Lalith+Kotelawala&amp;x=8&amp;y=6\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lalith Kotelawala<\/span><\/a>, chairman of Ceylinco Consolidated, she, along with her husband and several others were charged for financial fraud amounting to billions of rupees in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Golden+Key&amp;x=9&amp;y=6\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Golden Key<\/span><\/a> Credit Company scam.<\/p>\n<p>Sicille Kotelawala, fled the country in 2008 and has been evading arrest since then.
