{"id":158358,"date":"2016-02-29T17:13:03","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T11:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=158358"},"modified":"2016-02-29T23:56:23","modified_gmt":"2016-02-29T18:26:23","slug":"new-slfp-organisers-mahindas-men-out-maithris-men-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/new-slfp-organisers-mahindas-men-out-maithris-men-in\/","title":{"rendered":"New SLFP Organisers: Mahinda\u2019s Men Out, Maithri\u2019s Men In"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a fresh effort aimed at consolidating his stronghold within the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), President Maithripala Sirisena in his capacity as chairman of the SLFP appointed new organisers to electorates and six districts today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/new-slfp-organisers-mahindas-men-out-maithris-men-in\/slfp\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-158359\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-158359\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/SLFP.jpg\" alt=\"SLFP\" width=\"639\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/SLFP.jpg 639w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/SLFP-300x124.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px\" \/><\/a>Incidentally, none of the loyalists of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was included in the new appointments.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, Sujeewa Chandrasiri was appointed as the organiser for Colombo district, while Anju Sri Shyam Perera was appointed to Gampaha, and Asanka Ediriweera was appointed as Kalutara district organiser.
