{"id":159010,"date":"2016-03-10T14:18:48","date_gmt":"2016-03-10T08:48:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=159010"},"modified":"2016-03-10T14:18:48","modified_gmt":"2016-03-10T08:48:48","slug":"yoshitha-further-remanded-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/yoshitha-further-remanded-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Yoshitha Further Remanded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Yoshitha+Rajapaksa&amp;x=5&amp;y=7\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Yoshitha Rajapaksa<\/span><\/a>, along with Nishantha Ranatunga, Rohan Weliwita and two others were ordered to be further remanded till March 24 by the Kaduwela Magistrate this morning.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_148426\" style=\"width: 154px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/thajudeen-was-tortured-and-killed-grave-site-under-24-hour-police-protection\/yoshitha-5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-148426\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-148426\" class=\"size-full wp-image-148426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Yoshitha.jpg\" alt=\"Yoshitha\" width=\"144\" height=\"248\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-148426\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yoshitha<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Yoshitha, the second son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, is currently in remand custody along with Ranatunga, Weliwita, Ravinath Fernando and Kavishan Dissanayake for allegedly being involved in money laundering at the Carlton Sports Network (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=CSN&amp;x=11&amp;y=6\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CSN<\/span><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Yoshitha, a Navy Lieutenant, is believed to have functioned as the Chairman of the private television channel.
