The joint opposing is planning to bring in a no confidence motion against Megapolis and Western Province Development Minister Champika Ranawaka<\/span><\/a> against his alleged involvement in an accident which left a youth critically injured.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the Join Opposition said that the police had failed to carry out an impartial investigation over the accident and due to political influence, action has not been taken against Ranawaka. \u201cSo, we are planning to bring a no confidence motion against him in Parliament,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ranawaka has denied any involvement in the accident which happened early this month in Rajagiriya, but eye witnesses claim that the vehicle which knocked the victim was driven by Ranawaka.<\/p>\n
