{"id":160340,"date":"2016-04-07T00:19:34","date_gmt":"2016-04-06T18:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=160340"},"modified":"2016-04-07T14:08:34","modified_gmt":"2016-04-07T08:38:34","slug":"probe-begins-into-multi-million-rupee-csn-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/probe-begins-into-multi-million-rupee-csn-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Probe Begins Into Multi Million Rupee CSN Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Crimes Investigations Division has commenced investigations into the multi million rupees worth Carlton Sports Network (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=CSN&amp;x=12&amp;y=2\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CSN<\/span><\/a>) office at Denzil Kobbekaduwa Mawatha in Battaramulla.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_148426\" style=\"width: 154px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/thajudeen-was-tortured-and-killed-grave-site-under-24-hour-police-protection\/yoshitha-5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-148426\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-148426\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-148426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Yoshitha-144x150.jpg\" alt=\"Yoshitha\" width=\"144\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-148426\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yoshitha<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Officials of the FCID, along with officials from the valuation department inspected the building on Wednesday, which was reportedly constructed at a cost of Rs. 200 million, which is owned by the Rajapaksa Memorial Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, the investigation will look into how the Rajapaksa Memorial Foundation amassed the finances to construct a building of such magnitude.<\/p>\n<p>In February, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Yoshitha+Rajapaksa&amp;x=12&amp;y=4\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Yoshitha Rajapaksa<\/span><\/a>, along with Nishantha Ranatunga, Rohan Weliwita and two others were remanded for allegedly being involved in money laundering at CSN. Yoshitha had reportedly functioned as the chairman of the channel.
