Ratwatte To Go !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Airline+Pilots+Guild+of+Sri+Lanka&amp;x=12&amp;y=7\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Airline Pilots Guild of Sri Lanka<\/span><\/a> disgusted with the behavior of its CEO Capt. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Suren+Ratwatte&amp;x=12&amp;y=4\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Suren Ratwatte<\/span><\/a> of SriLankan Airlines at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/srilankan-ceo-spews-f-word-vilifies-colombo-telegraph-and-admits-he-is-incompetent\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the meeting held on the 21st April 2016<\/span><\/a>, has called for an emergency meeting to discuss means of having him ousted, Colombo Telegraph reliably learns.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/sri-lankan-airlines-charitha-ratwattes-brother-appointed-as-new-ceo\/suren-ratwatte-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-150564\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-150564\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Suren-Ratwatte-.jpg\" alt=\"Suren Ratwatte\" width=\"349\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Suren-Ratwatte-.jpg 349w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Suren-Ratwatte--242x300.jpg 242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 349px) 100vw, 349px\" \/><\/a>At the concluded meeting the former Emirates Airline pilot and now CEO of SriLankan Airlines Capt. Ratwatte had openly blackmailed senior pilot Capt. Sujith Jayasekara.<\/p>\n<p>This was when he wanted to keep the very senior pilot quiet and prevent him from asking persistent questions that led to his embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you dont keep quiet I will have no choice but to expose an incident involving you that happened 30 years ago&#8221; CEO Capt. Ratwatte had gone on to blackmail him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;However nobody knew what he was referring to&#8221; a pilot present at the meeting said.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO had then even gone on to threaten the other pilots that he will have them &#8216;gutted&#8217;, a term used by gangsters to stab someone in the stomach and disembowel their internal organs. This is besides using the word &#8216;fuck&#8217; at a meeting where he is reported to have gone berserk.<\/p>\n<p>The pilots who were shell shocked by the CEO&#8217;s behaviour are also upset about a secret deal that has now come to light involving him, Chairman Ajith Dias, a soon to be recruited Chief Technical Officer Dinnaga Padmaperuma and former Air Lanka and Emirates Airline pilot, retired Capt.Suhail Hashim, who is now a domiciled businessman in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>It has been established that the CEO in tandem with Chairman Ajith Dias is attempting to replace the Airbus A 320 aircraft with a smaller one named the Bombardier, which seats approximately 104 to a maximum of around 140 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The CEO has under performed in his capacity in the first six months. Even his confirmation has been delayed. What he is trying to do now is make a fast buck before he gets kicked out eventually. Despite his nepotistic appointment,due to being the brother of Charitha Ratwatte who is a close friend of Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe, he has under performed in his role in his first six months. Even his confirmation has been delayed due to this.
