Lieutenant Colonel Prabodha Siriwardena, identified as the second suspect in the case was released on a cash bail of Rs. 2 million along with two sureties of Rs. 6 million.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_159721\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/sandya-ekneligoda-wants-ms-rw-un-and-dpl-community-to-save-her\/sandya-ekneligoda-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-159721\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-159721\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-159721\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Sandya-Ekneligoda-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Sandya Ekneligoda\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Sandya-Ekneligoda-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Sandya-Ekneligoda-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-159721\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sandya Ekneligoda<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Despite being released on bail, the Magistrate has issued a travel ban on Siriwardena.<\/p>\n<p>He was released on bail after evidence was submitted that Siriwardena was at the Army Training Institute in Kukuleganga undergoing a training programme from 23 to 27 January 2010.<\/p>\n<p>In March this year, Ekneligoda&#8217;s wife, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Sandya+Ekneligoda&amp;x=9&amp;y=8\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sandya<\/span><\/a> said that if the army personnel who were in remand custody over her husband&#8217;s disappearance was released, her life could be under threat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf these army personnel get bail, my life will be in danger, as well as even the lives of those from the Attorney General\u2019s office who appeared on behalf of the case.
