The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Central Committee will take disciplinary action against the Joint Opposition<\/span><\/a> MPs who took part in the Pada Yathra<\/span><\/a>, and who also hooted at the SLFP Headquarters on August 1.<\/p>\n

Duminda Dissanayake<\/p><\/div>\n

SLFP General Secretary and Minister Duminda Dissanayake<\/span><\/a> has termed the hooting act by some of the Joint Opposition MPs as \u2018disgraceful.\u2019<\/p>\n

The Central Committee will decide on the disciplinary action against the Joint Opposition MPs when they meet next. Action will be taken against the MPs for defying orders by the SLFP and taking part in the protest march, as well as for hooting at the SLFP Headquarters at Darley Road, Colombo 2.<\/p>\n

Although the Joint Opposition MPs sit in Parliament as a separate group, they hold the membership of the SLFP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
