{"id":166152,"date":"2016-08-05T14:35:29","date_gmt":"2016-08-05T09:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=166152"},"modified":"2016-08-05T14:35:29","modified_gmt":"2016-08-05T09:05:29","slug":"slfp-disciplinary-committee-to-draft-report-card-on-hooting-jo-mps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/slfp-disciplinary-committee-to-draft-report-card-on-hooting-jo-mps\/","title":{"rendered":"SLFP Disciplinary Committee To Draft Report Card On Hooting JO MPs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SLFP Disciplinary Committee has been tasked with submitting a report to the party\u2019s Central Committee on the recent conduct of several SLFP members who defied party orders and took part in the anti-Government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Pada+Yatra&amp;x=12&amp;y=6\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pada Yatra<\/span><\/a> and also allegedly hooted at the party headquarters in Colombo during the Colombo leg of the protest march.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/maithri-lambasts-divaina-for-inflammatory-journalism-reiterates-his-stand-against-foreign-judges\/maithripala-sirisena-10\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-165002\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-165002\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Maithripala-Sirisena--150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Maithripala Sirisena\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Maithripala-Sirisena--150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Maithripala-Sirisena--50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>During a meeting convened last evening chaired by President by President Maithripala Sirisena, the Central Committee had decided to await the report from the Disciplinary Committee after which the fate of the joint opposition MPs who hold membership in the SLFP will be decided.<\/p>\n<p>During last evening&#8217;s meeting it was also decided to cancel the party membership of Puttalam District MP Sanath Nishantha, after he openly criticized Sirisena\u2019s leadership in a television programme. It was also decided to take action against several local government members after they tore up letters issued by the party which called for nominations for the next election.
