COPE Chairman \" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Sunil-Handunneththi-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Sunil-Handunneththi-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-164482\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sunil Handunneththi &#8211; COPE Chairman<\/p><\/div>\n<p>On Tuesday, COPE handed over report containing their findings of 19 public institutions including Bank of Ceylon, Ceylon Electricity Board, Rakna Arakshaka Lanka, SriLankan Airlines, State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Central Bank, Sri Lanka Cricket, Janata Estate Development Board, Agriculture and Agrarian Insurance Board, Lankaputra Development Bank and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>According to COPE Chairman Sunil Handunneththi, the Central Bank bond issue warranted a special report, as it required further investigation due to the severity of the issue, and hence a special report on the committee\u2019s findings will be presented to Parliament within the next two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>COPE has meanwhile once again summoned several officials of the Central Bank this week to carry out further inquiries on the bond scam in which former Governor Arjuna Mahendran is accused of playing a leading role.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":164482,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,1,2375],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-166277","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colombotelegraph","category-news","category-stories"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.3 -
