{"id":166757,"date":"2016-08-23T20:12:16","date_gmt":"2016-08-23T14:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?p=166757"},"modified":"2016-08-23T20:12:16","modified_gmt":"2016-08-23T14:42:16","slug":"thajudeen-killing-ex-jmo-sends-250-million-letter-of-demand-to-present-jmo-as-court-issues-notice-on-respondents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/index.php\/thajudeen-killing-ex-jmo-sends-250-million-letter-of-demand-to-present-jmo-as-court-issues-notice-on-respondents\/","title":{"rendered":"Thajudeen Killing: Ex-JMO Sends 250 Million Letter Of Demand To Present JMO As Court Issues Notice On Respondents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ex Colombo Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Ananda+Samarasekera&amp;x=4&amp;y=6\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ananda Samarasekera<\/span><\/a> who is embroiled in a controversy in connection with the murder of ruggerite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/?s=Wasim+Thajudeen&amp;x=13&amp;y=2\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Wasim Thajudeen<\/span><\/a> has sent a letter of demand to present JMO Ajith Tennakoon on grounds that he has damaged Samarasekera\u2019s reputation.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_162273\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Ananda-Samarasekera.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-162273\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-162273\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Ananda-Samarasekera-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Ananda Samarasekera\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Ananda-Samarasekera-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.colombotelegraph.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Ananda-Samarasekera-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-162273\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ananda Samarasekera<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Samarasekara has given Tennakoon one week to pay Rs. 250 million or face legal action.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Colombo Additional Magistrate has issued notice on the OIC of the Homicide Investigations Division of CID to appear in Court on August 30 after considering the anticipatory bail application filed by Samarasekera requesting bail in expectation of being named or accused over missing body parts in the Thajudeen murder.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Samarasekera filed the application seeking an order preventing his arrest in connection to the missing body parts of Thajudeen.<\/p>\n<p>Early this month, Health Ministry Secretary Anura Jayawickrema in a report submitted to the Colombo Additional Magistrate said that Samarasekera was responsible for the missing body parts of Thajudeen\u2019s body. Jayawickrema said that Samarasekera had acted in an irresponsible manner when conducting the first postmortem, in which Samarasekera ruled Thajudeen\u2019s death was due to an accident, while in fact he had been murdered.
